Role Responsibilities

The Director, Restaurant Employee Experience (REX) will focus on developing the vision and strategy for the restaurant employees to support our future restaurant design and operations. Incorporating concepts from our McDonalds Culture and Values, the Director, REX will define future requirements to ensure a differentiated employee experience (globally) that supports employee engagement to drive top customer experience and improved restaurant outcomes. Reporting to the VP, Culture and Engagement, the Director will work in a matrixed environment, working closely with the Restaurant Experience Team (REX) to integrate as part of the cross-functional team developing the restaurant employee experience of the future.

• In partnership with REX organization, develop the holistic restaurant Employee strategy for future restaurant concepts

• Map the restaurant employee journey and assess strengths and opportunities of the employee journey; make recommendations for future enhancements

• Ensure restaurant team readiness for openings in partnership with McopCo

• Ensure employee experience/human experience is designed as new technology is deployed

• Build restaurant employee experience of the future concepts to incorporate into future restaurant design 

Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of front-line employee populations and direct experience working to support frontline employees, either as an operational leader or people partner
  • Ability to create a 3-5 year strategy incorporating foresight and future trends 
  • Collaboration and influence with stakeholders across the business (operations) 
  • Strong communication skills to articulate a vision and inspire others towards that future vision

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $157,655.00 - $197,069.00 per year
