Department Overview
The Commercial Product & Platform vision develops global technology products and platforms that delight our customers and enable our crews to operate our restaurants reliably and effectively.
The Director, Tech Lead is part of the Restaurant Technology team and reports to the Sr Director, Group Tech Lead of the Serve group. The Director will be responsible for delivering high quality RFM and Restaurant Profile software releases, operations of the current RFM and Restaurant Profile cloud based solution in addition to leading the cloud migration to GCP. This role will lead a team of 3 employees in addition to a large mix of internal customers and external technical resources to ensure the goals of the platform are met. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technology leader to help shape the evolution of the RFM, Restaurant Profile applications in addition to a large scale migration to GCP.
Duties
- Drive tech strategy, design and development of RFM and Restaurant Profile applications as well as support and enable the continued evolution of each product.
- Lead migration to the new GCP environment
- Lead architectural discussions and oversee the technical delivery of both internal resources (e.g., engineers) and vendors for development and operations of each platform.
- Ensure engineering and design best practices (e.g., modularity) are leveraged to develop modern cloud-native products and platforms.
- Define and enforce quality standards (non-functional requirements) and program-wide acceptance criteria.
- Manage security compliance, data integrity, and standards for all in-scope products and platforms to ensure sensitive data is secure.
- Manage the services and vendors that provide RFM Data Management, Testing as well as L3/L3.5 Support.
- Become an expert in the application, functionality and business capabilities that it enables.
- Partner with markets to adopt and deploy current RFM and Restaurant Profile capabilities while determine what changes will be needed for seamless adoption of new solutions.
- Deliver technology solutions that enable the business to deliver against their vision, mission, and strategy.
- Manage and own the program milestones, budget and associated ROI
- Act as interface into tech organization for other enterprise functions (e.g., restaurant ops)
Qualifications
- At least 10 years experience in hands-on technical roles showing progressive growth in responsibilities, with a strong background in software engineering, architectural design, and application development.
- At least 7 years experience working in an Agile software development environment and leading software engineering teams.
- Understanding of RFM, Restaurant Profile systems and operational requirements of restaurant technology
- Experience partnering with stakeholders in a complex, global matrixed org setup
- Experience leading large-scale global change programs impacting people, process, and technology.
- Demonstrated experience as a strong people management and development experience
- Strong experience owning and delivering performant restaurant/ digital platforms / infrastructure with measurable results.
- Ability to communicate effectively in multiple business areas (e.g., marketing, sales, finance, operations, technology)
- Deep understanding of global complexities, deployments and Segment / Market differences
- Experience managing P&L of the department, and develop financial forecasts
- Impact-minded approach, with ability to articulate goals and instill action and alignment towards reaching them.
- Strong problem solver with ability to manage and lead the team to push the solution and progress.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $195,371.00 - $244,214.00 per year
