Department Overview
McDonald's has an exciting opportunity for a Director, Alignment role on the US People Strategy & Planning team. Our People Strategy & Planning team is dedicated to driving performance and engagement by bringing the National People Plan to life in collaboration with the Field and McOpCo teams. The role partners closely with the US People leadership team as well as other key stakeholders across the US business and Global People to communicate the strategic vision and key priorities for the organization to drive alignment, awareness, understanding, and advocacy for People initiatives.
Duties
- Management of US People team functional operations in partnership with US People PMO, including governance of internal routines and meetings, engagement efforts and general team change management.
- Lead agile team of project execution managers and supervisors to advance key People priorities and meet strategic KPIs and metrics.
- Execute Phase Planning processes in partnership with US business and Global People.
- Enable alignment across People teams, cross-functional partners, and owner/operator leadership.
- Lead alignment and integration of People initiatives with Operations to strengthen employee to customer experience.
- Stakeholder management of key initiative leaders and decision makers, including functional governance teams and People Leadership team.
- Member of the US People Leadership Team, advising on strategic decisions and supporting planning processes.
- Lead internal communications to US People, partnering closely with US Impact and Global People teams.
- Management of in-market governance in accordance with US and Global governance processes.
- Lead/represent the US People team on special projects/initiatives across the business in full execution.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, business alignment, or related roles, preferably with experience working on or with HR teams
- Program management experience required.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders, supported by strong interpersonal skills and an aptitude for building rapport.
- Strong presentation, influencing, and facilitation skills to educate and inform key stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
- Deep understanding of employee experience strategies, processes, and objectives preferred.
- Keen understanding of labor landscape and demographic shifts.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $178,121.00 - $222,651.00 per year
