Department Overview
McDonald’s has set an ambition to become a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader. To make this happen, McDonald’s is standing up a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Modernization (GI Mod) program. This program will help McDonald’s to better leverage our scale and unlock sustainable value for our company and communities. We are transforming our Indirect Sourcing and Procurement capabilities, processes, solutions, and ways of working to create One McDonald’s Way of buying Indirect goods and services responsibly.
This program presents an exceptional career opportunity to be a part of this journey as the Global Functional Solution Lead for GI Mod. This role is a critical leadership role and will lead the design of solutions that enable McDonald’s to become a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader.
Reporting to the GI Mod Overall Program Transformation Lead, the role will lead the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of leading solutions to transform and enable McDonald’s Source-to-Pay processes, systems, and capabilities, leading at the intersection of the business and technology. It plays a critical part in the Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Modernization program, driving the successful deployment and adoption of procurement solutions across the enterprise.
Duties
Key responsibilities will include providing program leadership, functional solution expertise and process guidance to the GI Mod project team, supporting Wave 1 enhancement teams, Ariba/Fusion post go-live stabilization efforts and/or Wave 2 deployment. Partnering closely with Global Technology, legal and collaborating across global stakeholder groups, the role is paramount to building a digitally enabled Indirect Sourcing and Procurement function for the enterprise
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of best-in-class S2C and R2I policies, processes, and capabilities to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the procurement lifecycle.
- Assess and define technology requirements aligned with McDonald’s Indirect Sourcing and Procurement objectives.
- Design and implement technology solutions and architecture in alignment with business needs and broader GBS program goals.
- Partner with Global Markets to gather local insights and incorporate requirements across indirect procurement processes.
- Identify and prioritize process and technology improvement opportunities using data-driven insights and industry best practices.
- Track performance against KPIs and escalate risks or issues to the GI Mod Program Lead as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement across S2I process areas, promoting innovation and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with solution vendors to ensure effective delivery, deployment, and alignment with organizational needs.
- Coordinate across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Manage and oversee a global team across multiple time zones.
- Provide regular updates to program leadership and stakeholders on solution development and implementation progress.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant experience in sourcing in a highly complex environment and Global landscape
- 3+ years experience leading teams and managing multiple projects
- Proven experience leading complex process transformation initiatives with measurable business impact.
- Deep expertise in Sourcing & Procurement, including Indirect Procurement, S2C, and R2I processes.
- Strong knowledge of procurement technologies (e.g., Icertis, Ariba) and experience designing solutions to enable process improvements.
- Ability to gather and translate business requirements into functional specifications and scalable technology solutions.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align technology initiatives to business objectives.
- Strong project management capabilities, including managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive solution delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $178,121.00 - $222,651.00 per year
