Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic Manager, Strategic Alignment, who will play a critical role in enabling the effectiveness and cohesion of the Global People Partner (GPP) team that supports all Globalized Corporate Functions. This role serves as a strategic connector across People Partner efforts, driving engagement, alignment, and operational excellence. Additionally, this role will lead the Local Experience Team which provides HR support for Director level and below employees, ensuring proximity to and responsiveness to business-critical needs. This role will report to the Vice President, Global People Partner – Corporate Functions.
Note: This role requires the candidate to be based in Chicago and work on a hybrid schedule, with 3 days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Alignment & Team Enablement: Partner closely with the VP, Global People Partner to align team priorities with enterprise and functional strategies.
• Drive rhythm-of-business activities including team communications, planning, and engagement
• Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives across the GPP team and globalized corporate functions
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing across People Partners
Local Experience Team (LEX) Leadership: Lead the LEX team to deliver localized HR support for Director and below employees in globalized corporate functions
• Ensure LEX provides proximity support for tasks that cannot be met through self-service or scaled service channels
• Manage system permissions and data access for “granted groups” to ensure accurate and secure support.
• Monitor service delivery quality and identify opportunities for process improvement and employee experience enhancement.
Engagement & Culture: Design and implement engagement strategies for the Global People Partner team, including recognition, development, and connection initiatives.
• Support change management and communication efforts related to organizational shifts or strategic priorities.
• Act as a cultural ambassador, helping to embed the Global People strategy and values across supported functions.
Operational Excellence: Track and report on key metrics related to team performance, engagement, and service delivery.
• Partner with People Experience (PEX) and People Solutions teams to ensure seamless integration of services and support.
• Lead special projects and pilots that enhance the effectiveness of the GPP team and LEX.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in HR, organizational effectiveness, strategic operations or strategic alignment
- Experience in a HR Business Partner type role is preferred but not required
- Experience in supporting HRBP teams or shared services environments preferred
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or related field with an advanced degree preferred
- Strong project management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in a dynamic, global environment
- Experience with employee relations and legal investigations
- Ability to successfully execute against multiple tasks and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to create relationships and influence partners
- Adept at forging a collaborative approach and aligning team members/resources to achieve outcomes
- Familiarity with HR systems and data governance
- Experience leading or supporting employee experience initiatives
- Background in change management or organizational development
- Experience with developing and delivering group presentations
- Comfort with Word, PowerPoint and collaborative technologies; high Excel proficiency is required

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $112,860.00 - $143,900.00 per year
