Department Overview

The Manager of National Initiatives is a key leader on the Economic Policy and Strategy team within U.S. Finance. This role contributes to the success of the U.S. business by contributing to the market’s strategic initiatives through the development and execution of product, equipment, and IT tests. The Manager provides accounting and financial knowledge for all new initiative deployments and influences cross-functional teams to ensure proper execution and solutioning of business complexities. This role also has one direct and one indirect report. 

Duties

  • Provides leadership and financial consulting to ensure fiduciary excellence for the creation and execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Influences economic policies related to development reinvestment, including: program design, partnering execution, and project closeout.
  • Collaborates with Global MHQ teams, CPAs, and Franchisees to provide System guidance for accurate Delivery Sales Accounting and Reconciliation.
  • Identifies proper accounting treatment and provides accurate and timely Plan and Projection information for initiatives.
  • Financial business partner for various U.S. and Global cross-functional teams including U.S. Restaurant Development, U.S. Operations, U.S./Global Technology, U.S./Global Delivery, and Treasury.
  • Coach, train, and mentor two members of the Initiatives team (one Supervisor and one Specialist), aiding in their professional development and financial proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or Finance
  • 4+ years’ experience, project management experience preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence cross-functionally.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and developing ad-hoc analyses.
  • Well organized and great prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment and remain flexible.
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to quickly learn new software applications.
  • Takes initiative and demonstrates creativity in finding efficiencies.
  • Possesses natural curiosity, asking questions when necessary to understand a situation.
  • Capability to evaluate data in a logical manner and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Strong people skills to lead and inspire team as well as cross-functional stakeholders.

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is  $115,872.00 per year - $144,840.00
