Department Overview

McDonald's is evolving its global marketing model to be more connected, efficient, and effective. As part of this effort, McDonald's has established a Future of Marketing team to define how marketing capabilities, processes, technology, and ways of working will evolve over time.

Reporting to the Technology Tower Lead, the Manager, Transformation will support the design, documentation, and implementation of future-state technology processes, operating models, governance frameworks, and business requirements that enable modern marketing capabilities across global and market teams.

This role sits within the Future of Marketing Technology Tower but will work in close partnership with the Customer Engagement Tower. The Manager will help translate business needs into scalable technology-enabled solutions and support the development of future-state operating models that improve efficiency, consistency, and collaboration across the marketing ecosystem.

The ideal candidate brings experience in marketing technology, digital transformation, process improvement, or product delivery and enjoys working across business and technology teams to solve complex challenges.

Duties

Process Design & Operating Model Support

  • Support the design and documentation of future-state marketing technology processes, workflows, governance models, and ways of working.
  • Assist in identifying current-state process gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement across marketing technology capabilities.
  • Partner with Technology Tower and Customer Engagement Tower stakeholders to ensure processes are aligned across teams, systems, and business objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of RACI frameworks that define roles, responsibilities, and decision rights across global, market, business, and technology teams.
  • Support operating model design activities and help document future-state organizational interactions and governance structures.

Business & Technology Partnership

  • Work closely with Customer Engagement, Martech, Data, Content, and other Future of Marketing teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technology-related process and capability needs.
  • Support workshops, working sessions, and stakeholder engagement activities to gather inputs, document decisions, and drive alignment.
  • Help assess how technology capabilities can enable improved customer engagement, campaign execution, personalization, content operations, and measurement.
  • Partner with technology and business teams to ensure process designs consider system capabilities, integrations, and data dependencies.

Transformation & Program Support

  • Support Future of Marketing transformation initiatives by coordinating activities, tracking deliverables, documenting decisions, and managing action items.
  • Assist in the development of business cases, process documentation, governance materials, training assets, and stakeholder communications.
  • Monitor key project milestones and identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for escalation.
  • Contribute to change management and adoption activities that support successful implementation of new processes and capabilities.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the establishment of governance standards and documentation practices across Future of Marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain process maps, operating model documentation, and repository materials.
  • Identify opportunities to improve consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness across marketing technology capabilities.
  • Help promote best practices and knowledge sharing across global and market teams.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in marketing transformation, marketing technology, digital operations, consulting, process improvement, program management, or related fields.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments involving both business and technology stakeholders.
  • Exposure to marketing technologies, customer engagement platforms, CRM systems, content management, analytics, customer data platforms, or related capabilities.
  • Experience supporting process mapping, operating model design, project delivery, or transformation initiatives.

 

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within a global or multi-market organization.
  • Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies and digital transformation programs.
  • Experience supporting marketing, customer engagement, CRM, loyalty, or personalization capabilities.
  • Experience developing process documentation, workshop materials, requirements, or business cases.

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $115,872.00 - $144,840.00 per year
