Department Overview

The Beverage categories, which include coffee, tea, soft drinks and juices, are critical enablers for our business. The main function of this role is to lead the development and execution of strategies that continue to deliver significant value to all 3-legs of the stool. Category strategies will need to incorporate assured supply and capacity plans, demonstrate category supply chain resiliency improvements, support our expectations around Food Quality & Safety, and achieve our bold sustainability targets.

The Manager, Global Strategic Sourcing Food – Global Beverages reports to the Director, Global Strategic Sourcing Food – Global Beverages & Promotions. In this role, you will connect frequently with market and supplier stakeholders across the globe to ensure alignment on category critical goals. Leadership and participation in cross functional teams to support innovation and business priorities will be critical.

Duties

This position is a key member of the Global Strategic Sourcing Food “Provisions and Promotions” Team that will help develop and implement a “best in class” Global Beverage sourcing strategy in support of global and market growth plans. The strategy will deliver a more resilient supply chain for our global beverage products across the globe by supporting our customer needs and expectations and creating the greatest value to our business.


This position is accountable to:

  • Design, develop and implement a Global Beverage sourcing strategy focused on value chains that deliver on the category vision to be the world’s leading supply chain connecting customers with the food they love and trust.
  • Manage global supplier relationships within the beverage category to drive enhanced resiliency and performance across contingency planning and testing, cost savings, digitalization and category resiliency assessments.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to build long term supply solutions that improve resiliency of the raw material supply chain, given its global nature and opportunities.
  • Lead and execute global and regional strategic sourcing events and manage supplier agreements/ pricing protocols.
  • Lead pricing negotiations and provide communications on price changes to markets for globally managed beverages.
  • Collaborate with Global Menu and other cross-functional McCafe Strategy team members to launch new Coffee Standards and manage coffee as a global core platform.
  • Partner with Global Financial Risk Management Team to support the Global Coffee Risk Management Program to enable predictable and competitive pricing.
  • Advise and support the Beverage & Desserts Category Management Team, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, new product development, project management or commensurate experience in related function
  • Experience in developing product sourcing strategies is preferred
  • Experience managing supplier relationships is preferred
  • Understanding sustainability and how to incorporate it into product strategies is a plus
  • Able to travel internationally

Salary Range

Salary Ranges-$$112,860.00 - $$143,900.00
