Department Overview
The Logistics Budget Manager is responsible for assisting with the financial planning, budgeting, and cost control activities within logistics and supply chain operations. This role ensures accurate forecasting, efficient budget management, and alignment with organizational financial goals while supporting distribution center (DC) performance and logistics initiatives.
Duties
Budget Planning & Management
- Management and review of the annual logistics and distribution center budgets and reporting to meet deadlines established by US Finance for F&P projections.
- Communication of annual DC markup with all stakeholders
- Distribution of annual distributor Reward for Excellence (RFE) targets
- Recovery and rebate analysis and communication to field office leadership, owner operators, and distributors
- Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and identify corrective actions.
- Partner with field supply chain managers to ensure alignment with organizational targets.
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes and quarterly business reviews.
- Annual review and distribution of all distributors pricing protocol
Cost Control & Optimization
- Analyze logistics costs (transportation, warehousing, administration, etc.) to identify savings opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cost efficiency across logistics operations.
- Evaluate cost impacts of new initiatives, vendor changes, or network adjustments.
- Analysis and recommendations for network optimization and logistics initiatives
- Planning and communication of new distribution center openings aligning with field supply chain managers
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost per case, freight spend, and DC operating expenses. Monitor and report DC service performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making.
- Work with the SCA team to continually improve DC reporting and budget tools.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with supply chain, distribution teams, and suppliers to support logistics strategy.
- Work closely with distribution centers to monitor budget adherence and performance.
- Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to ensure cost transparency and accountability.
- Support Field Supply Chain Manager with outer markets such Alaska, Guam, Saipan, and Hawaii.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Support audit processes and maintain accurate financial documentation.
- Improve budgeting tools, templates, and reporting systems to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain finance, or budgeting/financial analysis.
- Experience supporting distribution center or transportation operations preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial systems
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid office environment with occasional travel to distribution centers or vendor sites.
- Cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $107,684.00 - $134,605.00 per year
