Department Overview

The Manager of Global Talent Design will drive McDonald's on our journey to become a talent accelerator – a place where top talent wants to come to learn, grow and lead. This role is responsible for building and deploying the talent and performance practices that will empower and support our people, teams and leaders around the world.

In this role, you will have high visibility within the McDonald’s organization. This role reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Talent Strategy & Design and works closely with the People leadership team.

Your focus will be on designing talent practices, project management, and stakeholder management for corporate staff and restaurants globally. The programs and processes you design will optimize our teams' performance and ensure we have robust pipelines of talent ready for their next role within the organization.

Duties

Pls Note: This is not a Talent Acquisition/Recruiting Manager role.

 

  • Serve as project manager and/or design contributor for our core talent management practices and products including performance management, talent review, succession planning, leadership models, coaching, and leadership assessments for corporate staff and restaurant management employees.
  • Lead change management efforts needed to help drive adoption across our markets and departments, including building deployment and communication plans.
  • Collaborate heavily on project teams supporting talent technology implementation.
  • Engage in ongoing stakeholder management through effective collaboration with HR and COE partners.
  • Provide thought leadership, creative vision, guidance, and advocacy for inclusion for talent projects.
  • Use modern practices, research and methodologies to design talent practices and programs that are easy to use, support our people and drive the business. 
  • Provide counsel and advice to leaders regarding ongoing review of talent and building future talent pipeline.
  • Position yourself as a strategic partner by providing thought leadership on talent strategy across the global McDonald's organization.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing talent management practices and programs and/or experience in a client-facing talent management specialist role with responsibility for executing talent reviews
  • Experience managing large projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong ability to collaborate and influence in a matrixed environment.
  • Exceptional skills in verbal and written communication, including strength in designing powerpoint decks that are crisp, clear and on-brand aesthetically

Salary Range

Salary Ranges-$$112,860.00 - $$143,900.00
