Department Overview
McDonald’s Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations (GTIO) team is on a mission to deliver modern, scalable, and user-centric technology that supports how the company operates worldwide. GTIO provides foundational services including Global Networking, Cloud, End User Computing, and IT Service Management. As part of the Enterprise User Computing team, the Tech Product Manager will oversee the Enterprise Communication Portal, powered by a leading Content Management System. This role reports to the Director of End User Computing and is responsible for defining the product strategy, maintaining the roadmap, and ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in product management, particularly in enterprise technology or digital communication platforms. They will collaborate closely with partners to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure high-quality product delivery. This is a unique opportunity for a technology leader to help shape the transformation of infrastructure and operations across the global McDonald’s environment, enhancing how employees connect, communicate, and collaborate.
Duties
- Manages or supports a technology product, and/or suite of products with business impact. Helps define the product(s) roadmap.
- Works as part of a team of technical product managers expected to broadly influence across a large portion of the organization or with a charter to innovate/redefine a strategically important domain.
- Partners with business leaders, technical product managers, and/or architects to determine the long-term viability of systems/products, from business and technology standpoints.
- Communicates ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences, including leadership teams. Fosters a constructive dialogue, harmonizes discordant views, and leads the resolution of issues.
- Decomposes complex problems into straightforward solutions. Consistently brings strong, data-driven business and technical judgment to decisions.
- Identifies core problems or opportunities within business processes. Understands the root cause and impacts for the project and other teams.
- Advances risks and/or issues that might be impacting the team. Proactively identify gaps and opportunities (e.g., services, workflows, tooling) within or between markets and other parts of the organization.
- Invests time to continuously improve your product management capabilities and close skill gaps.
- Perform research and market analysis that help drive product strategic direction and roadmaps
- Ability to effectively manage multiple suppliers, vendors, and key customers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of technical product management or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience working on technical teams that lead all aspects of an important product and/or a suite of products.
- Experience communicating with leadership and setting expectations for major multi-functional initiatives.
- Experience working with WYSIWYG interfaces
- Experience with UX
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical products, driving clarity, understanding and discussing technical concepts, managing tradeoffs, and evaluating potential concepts with internal and external partners
- Shown analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop project cases, and measure success.
- Strong in problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends.
- Good presentation and writing skills, with the ability to translate theory into practical application.
- Understand customer centricity and lead products with that attitude.
- Exudes collaboration and conflict-resolving qualities and able to work on a multi-functional team
- Able to successfully manage full development life cycle (SDLC) projects
- Experience with agile methodology
Preferred Qualifications
- New Product Integration (NPI) experience.
- Working knowledge of data analytics, machine learning, and mathematical optimization.
- 5+ year of experience in the business domain (cloud-based CMS product)

Salary Range
Salary Ranges-$$112,860.00 - $$143,900.00
