Department Overview

This role offers an outstanding opportunity to collaborate with a broad range of McDonald's stakeholders. It requires a forward-thinking approach to balance current operational needs with emerging technology trends, supporting restaurant-level testing and innovation. The Manager, Technology Deployment is responsible for configuring, deploying, and supporting the Market restaurant platform within Speedee Labs. The team works closely with Market teams and Speedee Labs Analytics to align configurations, deployment strategies, and support processes for restaurant testing at MHQ. This role ensures the readiness of capabilities and services for McDonald’s Point of Sale (POS) solutions, while driving performance improvements and stability across test environments.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical domain expert, providing mentoring, training, and configuration design support.
  • Review work performed by team members to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Build and be a great partner with key stakeholders, including market representatives and deployment teams.
  • Analyze support metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improving test stability.
  • Develop and implement internal processes and standards for technical solutions within Speedee Labs.
  • Participate in technical solutioning discussions to drive improvements across markets.
  • Collaborate with restaurant platform, product, and engineering teams.
  • Create and maintain documentation and training materials for platform integration and adoption.
  • Provide training and support for teams on new restaurant technology solutions and processes.
  • Align technical solutions with business objectives and market needs in partnership with product and market teams.
  • Act as a domain expert on features and capabilities for development partners and product teams.
  • Coordinate and implement plans to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.
  • Provide leadership by collaborating with others, articulating ideas to senior management and peers, initiating projects, handling resources, resolving issues, and holding the team accountable for results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware (e.g., circuits, power consumption, cabling, interfaces, CPU, memory, RAID, NICs).
  • Deep technical foundation in Microsoft Windows Server/Desktop OS, PowerShell, Hyper-V, containers, cloud platforms, and system architecture.
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps practices (Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, Desired State Configuration, automated testing).
  • Analytical attitude with ability to assess integration complexity and recommend improvements.
  • Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps.
  • Solid grasp of software/hardware/OS development lifecycle and Agile practices.
  • Experience documenting business requirements, processes, and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrable ability to plan, coordinate, and implement business systems projects.
  • Self-starter with a track record of delivering results in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience leading all aspects of and conducting hardware installations in production environments.

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $98,140.00 - $125,130.00 per year
