Department Overview

The Technology Program Manager (Tech PM) for CLM will lead and coordinate the planning, execution, and governance of CLM technology initiatives across the enterprise. This role serves as the central point of accountability for delivering CLM platform capabilities, integrations, and enhancements that enable scalable, compliant, and efficient contract processes.

 

The Tech PM will bring a structured program management mindset and apply established PMO processes to drive alignment across Legal, Procurement, Finance, Compliance, IT, and external vendors. This role will ensure clarity of scope, disciplined execution, risk management, and transparent stakeholder communication to support timely and high-quality delivery of CLM outcomes. The Tech PM partners closely with product owners, solution architects, engineering teams, and implementation partners to translate business requirements into executable technology plans.

Duties

Governance and Program Oversight

  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans for CLM technology initiatives, including platform enhancements, integrations, and releases.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination across business, legal, and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic CLM objectives.
  • Establish and operate program governance routines, including status reporting, risk and issue management, dependency tracking, and escalation as it relates to CLM technology.
  • Support leadership with clear progress updates, insights, and recommendations to enable effective decision-making.
  • Leverage standardized PMO tools, templates, and reporting forums to ensure consistency and transparency across CLM initiatives.

 

CLM Technology Delivery

  • Own end-to-end delivery of CLM technology workstreams from planning through deployment and post‑go‑live stabilization.
  • Partner with architecture and engineering teams to review solution designs and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and security requirements.
  • Translate business and legal requirements into clear technical requirements, user stories, milestones, and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate delivery across internal technology teams and third‑party vendors or system integrators.

 

Stakeholder & Cross‑Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the primary coordination point between Legal, Procurement, Finance, Compliance, IT, and external partners for CLM initiatives.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions to align on scope, priorities, dependencies, and delivery sequencing.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships across functions to proactively manage dependencies and resolve delivery challenges.

Risk, Issue, and Change Management

  • Identify, track, and manage program risks, issues, and change requests related to scope, timeline, cost, and quality.
  • Ensure appropriate governance and approval mechanisms are followed for CLM-related changes.
  • Proactively assess impacts related to data privacy, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness.

 

Adoption, Enablement, and Readiness

  • Partner with change management, training, and communications teams to support CLM rollout and adoption planning.
  • Track readiness activities, milestones, and dependencies to ensure successful deployment.
  • Support measurement of adoption and post‑launch outcomes to inform continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of experience in program or project management, preferably in a technology or systems delivery environment.
  • Experience supporting enterprise technology initiatives with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Working knowledge of SDLC and Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Smartsheet, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Ability to manage details, follow through on commitments, and proactively surface risks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, or a related field.

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $115,872.00 - $144,840.00 per year
