Department Overview
McDonald’s is seeking a highly skilled, collaborative, proactive and motivated individual to join our dynamic Consumer & Company Platform team. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and support of software deployment processes across various environments. Your project management skills and technical expertise will ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of our software solutions to our impressive estate of 300,000 devices. As the deployment lead for technology, you will have many opportunities to impact the experience of our 13,500+ restaurants and the consumers who love our brand. The preferred candidate will have a solid background in coordinating change control processes, software development lifecycle (SDLC), hardware development lifecycle, Network and Infrastructure fundamentals, Cybersecurity foundation, Incident / Problem Management (ITIL), and effective organization management, demonstrating best practices in all methodologies.
On this team, the individual will support the US Market Change Control process used by various US Technology Teams as they deliver solutions to US restaurants. In this role, the individual will support the change control process, assess deployment risk, apply relevant standards and best-practices to deployments in the US Market. The individual will craft and develop innovative process solutions to support market deployment services with an emphasis on Network, Infrastructure, Security and Digital platforms. You’ll collaborate with McDonald’s vendors and various internal teams to ensure a smooth deployment for technical solutions.
Duties
Change Control:
- Administer & support the change control process ensuring all changes are documented, reviewed, and approved in accordance with company policies.
- Use experience in all areas of technology – including Network, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Digital – to assess technical dependencies & deployment risk to the US Market.
- Creating and implementing best practices for change control that impact all projects but specifically for projects related to Network, Infrastructure and Security.
- Monitor and report on the impact of changes, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Conduct post implementation reviews to identify root cause and opportunities for improvements.
- Create and/or refine processes with cross-functional teams
Project Management:
- Develop & maintain project plans for team projects.
- Ensure team projects & tasks are finished on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Assess platforms and identify opportunities for improvement or automation.
- Craft documentation for internal processes, standard methodologies, and other knowledge sharing materials tailored towards Network, Infrastructure and Security products to share with collaborators.
- Strong knowledge of testing procedures and best practices.
Partner Engagement:
- Be the main connection for internal and external customers.
- Connect with partners to review and advise on product roadmaps.
- Establish and maintain strong connections with key Global and US Market collaborators to secure alignment and backing for initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with partners to keep them informed of progress and changes.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Identify & track performance metrics to measure the success of company and consumer management initiatives for cybersecurity and infrastructure services.
- Prepare, present, and contribute to regular reports & dashboards on performance, changes, and project status to senior leadership.
- Apply data-driven insights to offer benefits through recommendations for process improvements and to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, business administration or related field.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in Software Development Lifecycle, Platform Management, Solution Architecture and/or IT Project Deployment.
- Proven experience in change control and project management for software and hardware products.
- Experience communicating and working with cross-functional teams & leadership.
- Experience working with Incident / Problem Management processes.
Skills:
- Exceptional demonstration of teamwork skills.
- Proficient capabilities in planning, presenting, and prioritizing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Proficient process management & process design skills.
- Working knowledge of project management applications (Jira, Smartsheet is a plus).
- Experience with business intelligence and data formatting tools (PowerBI is a plus).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is a plus.
- Change Management certification is desirable.
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification is desirable.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $127,332 - $159,165 per year.
