Department Overview
In this role you will be a member of the US Restaurant Development (USRD) team, leading the Portfolio Management team. The Senior Portfolio Manager supports the US development plan, including leading the Vision Planning Strategy, oversight of the identification and execution of Existing Asset Market Plans, and protecting the existing asset base by leading and ensuring resolution of all property issues. Key customers include Owner/Operators, Field Office Leadership and Staff, Corporate Staff, and others as the business dictates.
A key portion of this role will be developing and implementing a people plan for the team to ensure the utilization of top talent. In addition, to ensure all staff within the respective Portfolio Team has the skills and capability to perform their roles effectively.
Duties
- Directs group-level oversight for Portfolio team responsible for protecting the existing asset base by leading and ensuring resolution of all property issues.
- Demonstrates advanced proficiency in Smartsheet and other proprietary software (such as Portal, PMO, CoStar, Tririga, etc.), and possesses strong skills in managing large data sets. This expertise enables the Senior Portfolio Manager to clearly communicate the current portfolio status to leadership, streamline team processes for maximum efficiency, and provide guidance to ensure the Portfolio team consistently meets development plan objectives.
- Excels at transforming complex challenges and processes into clear, actionable insights. Breaks down intricate issues into simple concepts for broad audiences. Also explains detailed workflows that enable teams to complete tasks accurately and confidently.
- Drives the creation, management, and execution of the Vision Plan to achieve ambitious portfolio goals set by McDonald’s. Proactively partners with all key collaborators to identify and lead high-impact relocations, ensuring every initiative directly advances the organization’s strategic objectives and improves portfolio value.
- Improve the income potential of our existing asset base, by proactively finding opportunities for income potential in real estate assets.
- Leads sales performance optimization of existing restaurants and manages the market study identification and process to improve income specific trade areas.
- Directs cross functional work with support departments to ensure teams protect and improve existing real estate portfolio and implement process & procedure innovation.
- Manages talent calibration and ensures all Development Staff within the team has the skills and capability to perform their roles effectively: through individual and team development.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Advanced understanding of data and analytics, as well as key software platforms
- Expert knowledge of Development financial concepts, practices and theories
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Experience leading a team of Development professionals
- Strong level of credibility to effectively influence decisions to meet department goals
- Bachelor’s business, real estate, finance, or construction management preferred
- Ability to travel

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $152,678.00 - $190,847.00 per year
