Department Overview

Proper Change Management is a critical success factor to growth at McDonald’s. We support Change at McDonald’s through the formation of a McDonald’s Change Center of Excellence (COE). The Change COE partners with leaders to enable the human side of transformation, ensuring people adopt the changes needed to promote the long-term success of our business. McDonald’s Change COE is seeking a Sr. Manager, Change Practitioner. The immediate need is for leadership and execution support on a transformational program within our Global Indirect Sourcing function. Future assignments may span other McDonald's functional areas.

This role will report to the Director – Change Partner within the Global People function.

Duties

Lead Large, Complex Change Management Projects

  • Leverage a Change Management methodology, process, and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative
  • Enable the design, development, delivery, and management of key communications
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders
  • Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs
  • Identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics
  • Evaluate and ensure user readiness
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
  • Analyze data-driven insights to adapt and accelerate change

 

Drive Adoption with One McDonald’s Way of Doing Change

  • Maintain an understanding of Change and how it contributes to broader McDonald’s strategy and priorities
  • Work with functional business partners to intake, scope and deliver Change support requests related to functional/market alignment
  • Advise and coach functional leaders on key Change Management decisions (e.g. strategy, execution, and measurement) to ensure alignment with McDonald’s Change methodology
  • Facilitate delivery of Change leveraging McDonald’s Change framework, methodology, and resources
  • Partner to perform/assess stakeholder and change impact analysis, identifying potential project impacts/risks
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and incorporate feedback on value realization inputs/outputs such as KPI development & measurements
  • Understand the business priorities and translate them into the highest impact Change programs

 

Develop and Mentor your People

  • Act as a coach and mentor to develop junior resources and establish a collaborative and inclusive culture in the COE
  • Provide clarity for team to understand the big picture, broader McDonald’s strategy/ context

 

Support Growth of Change Knowledge across the Enterprise

  • Gain understanding of Change Framework and support training of partners, practitioners, and business leaders
  • Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs with internal and external partners.
  • Actively identify influential partners and ways to inspire Change initiatives on specific projects

Qualifications

  • Advanced level project, portfolio, and change management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize across strategic thought leadership and execute delivery.
  • Deep experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Proficient with Word, PowerPoint and collaborative technologies.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal 
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Experience with large-scale, high complex organizational change efforts

Experience

Required

  • A minimum of eight years of experience in leading complex Change Management transformations is required.
  • Previous leadership experience in managing change management resources.                         

 

Preferred 

  • Experience in strategic advisory and influencing leaders, designing and executing project plans requiring funding proposals.
  • Managing multiple program and project teams completing low – high complexity Change programs/projects.
  • Ability to maintain influence with Business leaders to drive alignment and ensure we have the right Business engagement.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, human resources, or related field required.                         
  • Master’s degree in business management, human resources, or related field preferred.

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $129,800.00 - $165,490.00 per year
