Responsibilities
Partners with the Head of Operations in driving operational excellence, profitability, and growth within the assigned zones. Provides leadership and coaching to DL Partners, Managing Directors and country operations leadership teams, which results in higher levels of operations performance (e.g., QSC, customer satisfaction, employee commitment), increased sales and profit, cash-flow and market share. Responsible for consulting, providing best practices and ensuring compliance of all operational and training aspects of the business. Key customers include Operations Lead of Latin America Business Unit, Latin America Business Unit Team, DL Partners, Country Managing Directors and country operations leadership teams.
QSC/ Sales Building
- Protects the McDonald’s brand by ensuring that the restaurants meet McDonald’s QSC, safety and sanitization standards.
- Teaches Business Managers and Business Consultants and restaurant leadership teams about critical restaurant systems that produces consistently high levels of QSC.
- Represents company interest in local co-op and properly executes the national and co-op promotions.
- Ensures that there us an on-going local My Store Marketing plan for each restaurant.
- Coordinates implementation and execution of new products and processes consistently within their restaurants.
Strategic Business Relationships
- Represents the McDonald's brand and system and creates the accountability level to ensure that restaurants in the countries meet McDonald's QSC, safety and hygiene standards.
- Provides strategic consulting and tactical recommendations to DL Partners, country Managing Directors and country operations leadership on operations, operations staff, and customer satisfaction opportunities.
- Acts as an advocate for the region and countries to ensure that both points of view are clearly communicated, strategies are aligned, and decisions are based on what's best for our customers.
- Partners with department functional leaders (e.g., Marketing, Development, HR, Accounting) and other departments to identify best practices and align strategies to optimize country potential.
- Leads the development and execution of zone operations strategies, aligned with country strategic and business plans, to improve ROI and operational excellence.
People
- Represents the McDonald's brand and system to ensure the delivery of the People Promise by:
- Promoting a positive and collaborative work environment within the countries and assigned region to create and accomplish business and profit plan objectives.
- Demonstrating and reinforcing the leadership behaviors and basic people minimums necessary to gain commitment (loyalty, pride, satisfaction) from country teams.
- Support and provide guidance to work plans for assigned countries team members and works with them to create individual development plans.
- Ensures that each country is optimally staffed (e.g., recruiting and hiring) and trained and works with country leadership to ensure that a succession plan is in place.
- Partners with country leadership to reward and recognize country teams for their results.
- Consults with country leaders to build self-sufficiency among country operations teams by providing coaching and bench marking resources from other AOW’s.
Location - Chicago or Florida preferred
Qualifications
- Experience at the Field Service Manager, Operations Manager level or equivalent
- Experience supporting franchises
- Bi-lingual (Spanish & English)
- Excellent knowledge of our restaurant Operating Platforms
- Work collaboration with other McDonald’s cross functional teams
- Work with minimal oversight and balance department priorities to achieve success.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $129,800.00 - $165,490.00 per year
