Department Overview
The Global PMO Lead, Employee Relations Strategy & Case Management will oversee project and program management for development of both a new global employee relations operating model and a global case management platform to drive and ensure timely project execution and delivery. The Global PMO Lead drives the required management of the project/work plan, coordinating resources and activities across all workstreams and adjacent programs.
The Global PMO Lead will partner with internal stakeholders from multiple internal functions and global markets as well as a third party vendor(s) to administer and operate within different project management areas, specifically ensuring the tracking and completion of activities within the client team
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Global Employee Strategy Team as well as Global Workplace Investigations Team & Global Business Services Project leads to establish operation model and case platform project strategy, approach, workstreams and overall structure and timeline for the initiative.
- Ensure the operation model and platform work towards plan, proactively identifying risk and issues and engaging the right parties to mitigate risk and resolve issues
- Establish and facilitate program governance and project status forums, ensuring all parties are apprised of actions and decisions
- Accountable for helping project team leverage experienced program managers, market resources, and functional subject matter experts assigned to the initiative.
- Coordinate and engage with key cross-workstream internal partners (e.g., People, Legal, GBS, Operations) to streamline interactions while maintaining line of sight to dependencies required for success
- Advise leadership and/or business executives at the highest levels about the initiative, leveraging the standard status and communication reporting processes
- Provide project workplan management support, keeping track of plans, budget, quality standards, deliverables, and dependencies
- Track and monitor project metrics, reporting and project finance management
- Facilitation of internal and external meetings
- Monitoring of relationships and dependencies between project areas and active improvement submission
- Partner with, and coordinate work amongst, project support specialist(s)
- Ensure maintaining adherence to relevant security, data, and access policies in alignment with McDonald’s Data and Security Governance Standards
- Build communication materials for McDonald’s Leadership that shows the progress of the project and potential barriers
Qualifications
- 8+ years of prior program and project management experience leading large scale, global People and Technology programs
- Leadership, Planning and Execution overseeing the initiative and provides direction and leadership to the team ensuring successful delivery and value realization – 50%
- Project Change Control and Measure Performance, Project Risk and Issue Management, and adherence to PMO Standards, Processes and Tools – 25%
- Stakeholder Management for the organization – 25%
- Strong ability to engage others in the attainment of the vision for the future. Influences others by enthusiastically sharing the future vision as a means for them to attain their goals
- Strong ability to establish alliances with other departments and organizations by recognizing dependencies in order to assess potential partnership and commitment to the program
- Strong ability to develop cooperative relationships to achieve results through win-win relationships
- Multi-team project plans development using project management software
- Strong, professional communication skills, with ability to engage with senior managers using appropriate level of detail, terminology, and style
- PMP Certification or equivalent experience
- Strong planning and organizing, ability to see the big picture
- Focus on details and logical reasoning
- Proactive in identifying opportunities
- A strong team player, proven team leadership potential

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $141,955.00 - $177,444.00 per year
