Department Overview
The Tech PMO Sr. Manager supports project and program management for technology initiatives to drive orderly and timely project execution and delivery. Responsibilities include supporting key PMO processes, developing the integrated project/work plan, managing program and project interdependencies, coordinating resources and key PMO meetings, tracking and reporting risks and issues, and supporting key deployment and go-live readiness activities across all workstreams and adjacent programs
The Tech PMO Sr. Manager will work with the Global Finance Modernization Technology Leader and partner with the Global PMO team to administer and operate within different project management areas, specifically ensuring the tracking and completion of key project activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development of technology programs, including project strategy, approach, workstreams, and overall structure and timeline for key initiatives
- Proactively identify and report technical risks and issues, and engage the right parties across multiple tech workstreams (e.g., applications, integrations, data, security, etc.) to mitigate risks and resolve issues
- Support program governance and project status forums, including running logistics and ensuring all parties are apprised of actions and decisions
- Actively monitor cross-workstream and program-wide dependencies, with a focus on technical dependencies
- Implement and reinforce key project management practices including Project Change Control and Performance Management, Project Risk and Issue Management, and alignment to PMO Standards, Processes, and Tools
- Provide project workplan management support, keeping track of plans, staffing, quality standards, and dependencies
- Track and monitor project metrics and reporting, with a focus on technical metrics
- Closely partner with key workstreams on the program to lead key deployment and launch readiness activities such as Service readiness testing, Dress Rehearsal, Go/No-Go readiness
- Coordinate and engage with key cross-workstream internal partners (Global PMO, Functional Solutions, Service Delivery, etc.) to streamline interactions while maintaining line of sight to technical dependencies required for success
- Build program-relevant communication materials, including Leadership updates on program status, key announcements, onboarding, and offboarding materials
Qualifications
- 8+ years of prior program and project management experience supporting large-scale, technology transformation programs
- Experience developing and handling project management processes such as multi-team project plans, risks, and issues logs, change control processes, status reporting, and resource management
- Experience running deployment and Go-live readiness activities
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies with proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Kanban, Confluence, or similar tools.
- Strong, professional communication, with the ability to engage with leadership, using the appropriate level of detail, terminology, and style
- PMP Certification or equivalent experience
Compensation
Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible for a bonus, calculated based on individual and company performance.
Long - Term Incentive: This position is eligible for stock or other equity grants pursuant to McDonald’s long-term incentive plan.

Salary Range
Salary Ranges-$149,260.00 - $190,310.00
