Department Overview

The Senior Manager, PMO – Global Tech (Global Indirect Modernization) is responsible for driving disciplined, predictable execution across technical workstreams for the GI Mod program. The GI Mod is a global transformation that establishes a new Indirect Sourcing and Procurement operating model and implements “One McDonald’s Way” for indirect sourcing and procurement worldwide.
- This role reports to the Global Tech Director of Technical Product Management and partners closely with cross‑functional leaders to ensure risk‑managed delivery, strong governance, and transparent communication across one of McDonald’s most critical global initiatives.
Duties

Ensure the program operates to plan by proactively identifying risks and issues and engaging appropriate stakeholders to mitigate and resolve them.

Establish and lead program governance, including status forums, escalation paths, and decision‑making cadence.

Provide overall leadership for a multi‑year global initiative, leveraging program managers, market resources, and functional subject matter experts.

Coordinate across technical and business workstreams to manage dependencies and streamline cross‑team execution.

Support the implementation and reinforcement of PMO standards, processes, and methodologies.

Provide Global Tech leadership with clear, concise, and actionable program updates.

Manage integrated workplans, including scope, milestones, dependencies, quality standards, and delivery commitments.

Track and report program metrics, and overall KPIs for program support.

Facilitate internal and external meetings to drive alignment and outcomes.

Manage resource onboarding and offboarding while ensuring compliance with McDonald’s data, security, and access governance standards.

Develop executive‑level updates highlighting progress, risks, and decision points.

Act as a point of contact for the product support team, ensuring alignment and timely issue resolution.

Delivery plans are transparent, measurable, and actively managed, with issues addressed early and corrective actions clearly defined.

Governance and operational processes (intake, RAID, escalation, decision forums) are well‑understood, consistently used, and continuously improving—resulting in fewer surprises and faster resolution.
Qualifications
-
8+ years of program and project management experience leading large‑scale, global transformation initiatives.

Proven ability to plan, execute, and deliver complex programs with measurable business outcomes.

Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
-
Deep experience with risk, issue, dependency, and change management within a PMO environment.
-
Demonstrated success leading cross‑functional, multi‑team initiatives.
-
Experience developing and managing integrated project plans using PMO tools and software.
-
Executive‑level communication skills with the ability to influence and drive decisions.
-
PMP certification or equivalent practical experience.
-
Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance strategic thinking and attention to detail.

Proactive, resilient, and adaptable leader with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
-
Experience with procurement or sourcing platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba).
-
Experience working across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
-
Experience with Smartsheet, JIRA and Confluence.
-
Experience with portfolio intake/prioritization and enabling decisions through governance.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $152,678.00 - $190,847.00 per year
