Department Overview

McDonald’s new growth strategy, Accelerating the Arches, encompasses all aspects of our business as the leading global omni-channel restaurant brand. As the consumer landscape shifts, we are using our competitive advantages to further strengthen our brand. 

The Global technology Enterprise Products & Platforms (EPP) consists of four Domains i.e. Finance, People, Supply Chain and Corporate. The Technical Excellence team serves as a horizontal to all these domains. As a part of the Operational Excellence team within EPP, we are aligned with the vision and goal to always be a people-led, product-centric, forward-thinking and trusted technology partner. The Tech Excellence team within EPP works closely with the EPP product teams to centralize and standardize technology processes, tools and frameworks to ensure a consistent technology experience and predictable delivery across our partners (business & technology). We enable (not enforce) our EPP product teams to deliver seamless tech operations and promote cross-domain collaboration through:

  • Best-in-class tools and frameworks
  • Standardized processes that align across EPP
  • Identification of opportunities to improve service levels
  • Centralized reporting that leads to data-driven decisions

Duties

As Senior Manager of Operations Excellence, you will be responsible for defining and executing enterprise-wide operating models, governance frameworks, and performance management strategies across integrations, tools, Infrastructure and reporting platforms. This role partners with leadership to drive platform transformation, discipline, compliance, and scalable delivery through centralized governance and globally distributed teams.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Define and lead the enterprise Operations Excellence strategy across integration, tools, infrastructure and reporting platforms.
  • Establish standardized governance frameworks, including intake, prioritization, RACI, and KPI models, to enable transparent, outcome-driven decision-making.
  • Drive alignment between platform execution, enterprise financial goals, and long-term transformation roadmaps.
  • Own the strategy, launch, and evolution of the enterprise Reporting Platform, enabling standardized organizational and operational reporting.
  • Improve executive visibility and decision-making through consistent metrics, dashboards, and self-service analytics capabilities.
  • Ensure reporting platforms scale effectively while maintaining data integrity, security, and performance standards.
  • Design and execute the Global Capability Center (GCC) insourcing strategy, including target operating model, role taxonomy, governance structure, and delivery standards.
  • Lead the establishment and growth of the Hyderabad, India GCC, ensuring seamless integration with U.S. and Mexico-based teams.
  • Balance centralized governance with product-centric delivery models to optimize speed, ownership, and accountability.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives through vendor rationalization, contract negotiations, and cloud spend controls.
  • Ensure financial transparency, accurate forecasting, and disciplined budget execution.
  • Ensure SOX-compliant operations across enterprise finance platforms, including change management, access controls, and audit readiness.
  • Translate operational metrics into executive-level insights and recommendations.
  • Influence enterprise decisions through data-driven narratives and governance forums.
  • Own goal setting, performance management, coaching, and formal evaluation processes (Connect & Conclude).
  • Build leadership capability, succession plans, and a high-performance culture across platform teams.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 12+ years of experience in operations excellence, platform operations, or enterprise service delivery roles.
  • Strong experience leading enterprise technology platforms.
  • Proven success establishing governance frameworks and operating models at enterprise scale.
  • Experience managing global teams and/or Global Capability Centers (GCCs).
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Intellectual Curiosity 
  • Learning agility

Preferred:

  • Background in cloud financial management and vendor optimization.
  • Experience launching or scaling enterprise reporting and analytics platforms.
  • Agile / Scrum leadership experience
  • MBA

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $141,955.00 - $177,444.00 per year
