Department Overview
Seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join a fast paced transfer pricing team. The Transfer Pricing Senior Manager is a key lead of a team is part of a very collaborative global tax team where we encourage debate and welcome ideas from all team members. The Transfer Pricing Senior Manager is responsible for leading a team through the transfer pricing life cycle, including policy implementation, executing strategic tax projects, operational transfer pricing process optimization and supporting compliance documentation.
The Transfer Pricing Senior Manager will oversee certain external tax advisor service delivery, and team with members across various business functions to prepare elements of global transfer pricing documentation. The Transfer Pricing Senior Manager will analyze global tax legislation, including relevant US/OECD developments, participate in cross-functional efforts to comply with global tax rules, contribute to tax and transfer pricing model optimization, navigate audit defense and dispute resolution, and lead strategic global transfer pricing initiatives, including the integration of new business initiatives into compliance and documentation processes.
The Transfer Pricing Senior Manager works closely with global and market leaders across finance, and other business functions to drive policy implementation, monitor intercompany transactions, and maintain compliance with global tax rules. Duties
- Review transfer pricing documentation and related economic analysis for the US and key international markets, including assessing the arm's length nature of intercompany royalties and other transactions. Monitor transfer pricing regulatory changes globally and assess impacts to McDonald’s.
- Manage analysis of business initiatives and planning projects involving transfer pricing, including intercompany pricing reviews, especially focused on intellectual property, intercompany financing, and intercompany services.
- Manage global tax controversies that involve transfer pricing, including overseeing the collection of necessary data, coordination with various stakeholders across the business, and responding to information requests from tax authorities.
- Partner with and build positive relationships across the business, the finance organization and the different functional teams within the Tax Dept.
- Lead and manage direct reports, providing guidance, support and performance feedback. This includes setting performance goals and conducting regular evaluations with the team.
- Review and optimize complex economic models.
- Lead functional interviews, learning about how and why McDonald’s is so successful and assisting the team to apply that knowledge in a variety of reports and analyses.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree at a minimum, graduate degree in finance / tax or economics preferred
- More than 6 years experience in Transfer Pricing with 3 years or more managing people
- Complex analytical, strong problem-solving skills, and economic modeling experience with the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- The ability to rethink complex processes and lead a team in a continuous improvement environment.
- Strong business and financial acumen and strong communication and writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curious mind set, confident, independent and logical problem solver.
- Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Alteryx, Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau and other automation tools is a strong plus.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $149,260.00- $190,310.00 per year
