Department Overview
The US Senior Manager, Tech Deployment role is part of the US Market Technology team in McDonald’s USA. The role reports to the Director, Tech Deployment and is responsible for driving the software release deployment, managing the agile ways of working, leading a team of Deployment managers, and driving alignment with the development and deployment partners within USA and Global Tech.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technology deployment leader to help shape the transformation of release deployment and deliver technology impacting the experience our 13,500+ restaurants and consumers who love our brand.
McDonald’s USA is seeking a collaborative and proactive leader who will clarify expectations, apply relevant standards and best-practices to develop deployment plans for innovative solutions, POCs and fast fail concepts for our deployment services team. This will be a collaborative role and will have influence and oversight over the front-end channel and backend systems to ensure consistency of product and integration of standard methodologies. You’ll interface with McDonald’s vendors and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in change control, project management, driving innovation,and strategic planning, with a proven track record of driving organizational success.
Duties

- Lead and manage a team of professionals in deployment, release and change control activities to broadly influence a large portion of the organization that impact our restaurants.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and consumer satisfaction.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
- Administer performance administration responsibilities
- Communicates ideas effectively, to a wide range of audiences, including executive stakeholders. Fosters a constructive dialogue, harmonizes discordant views, and leads the resolution of issues.
- Decomposes significantly complex problems into straight-forward solutions. Consistently brings strong, data-driven business, and technical judgment to decisions.
- Identifies core problems or opportunities within business processes. Understands the root cause and impacts for the project and other teams.
- Removes bottlenecks to enable team(s) to deploy independently. Drives team members to proactively identify gaps and opportunities (e.g., process workflows, tooling) within market and other parts of the organization.
- Invests time to coach junior managers to refine their capabilities and close skill gaps. Works closely with technical product managers and leads by example.
- Monitor and report on the impact of changes, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Project Management:

- Plan, execute, and oversee deployment initiatives
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects and changes.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a manager or product management role with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or technology
- 5+ years facilitating and leading teams in fast paced, results driven environment
- Proven experience in technology, change control and project management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
Skills:
- Excellent strategic planning and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
- 5+ years of non-internship professional experience in Project Management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Certifications:
- Change Management certification is desirable.
- ITIL experience is a plus
Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $141,955.00 - $177,444.00 per year
