Department Overview
We are looking for a skilled Business Technology Analyst to help deploy and support exciting new technology in US Restaurants. This role will be part of a team working in a high-visibility, fast-paced, dynamic environment, and thus the ideal candidate is adaptable and eager to learn new things.
This role provides opportunities to form relationships with a variety of McDonald’s stakeholders, including US and Global technology teams, franchisees, and restaurant crew members. You will have opportunities to develop hands-on technical skills, project management skills, and gain exposure to a wide range of business functions to help you expand your McDonald’s knowledge.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Production incident/bug ticket data gathering and ticketing
- Team Jira board management
- Restaurant incident management & status reporting
- PowerBI & restaurant status reporting
- Deployment requirements gathering & documentation
- Confluence management for deployment and support pages
- Visit McDonald’s restaurants to gather feedback from crew and rethink approaches to technology to improve both the crew and guest experience
- Support daily meetings and ongoing technology transformation efforts
- Understand McDonald’s business requirements to help produce quality outcomes and adapt to new challenges as they arise
- Have a leadership attitude and highest level of dedication to ensure projects are led efficiently, on schedule, and on target
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, information technology, or a related field
- Basic understanding of technical ticket management, specifically using Jira/Confluence.
- Solid technical base, encompassing knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server & Desktop OS, PowerShell, PowerBI, Jira/Confluence, SmartSheets, and generative AI.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, including but not limited to electrical circuits and power consumption, working with technology racks, cabling types and interfaces, and internal components such as CPU, Memory, RAID, NICs, etc.
- Ability to understand complex technology integration requirements, identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement, and recommend solutions and business process changes.
- Ability to take an analytical approach to analyzing different solution options and work with multiple teams to drive alignment for a chosen approach.
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical plans.
- Curious, task-orientated, and a self-starter with a proven tracker record of “getting things done”.

- Experience in a retail or point of sale environment
- Experienced with POS installation/computer hardware installation
- Experienced with POS support/general technical support flows

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $87,050.00 - $108,810.00 per year
