Department Overview
The Business Technical Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery of Workforce Management and Back-office technology initiatives from requirement documentation through supervising implementation. This role partners with the Product Manager, Product Owners, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to document business requirements, support product enhancements, coordinate testing activities, and assist the Sr. Business Technical Analyst to ensure solutions meet business needs. The ideal candidate must be proactive, a strong communicator, process focused, and able to quickly adapt to evolving business priorities and technology environments.
A successful candidate will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including Product, McD internal departments (Technology, Operations, HR & Legal), and external vendors, to support the design, development, and implementation of Workforce Management capabilities and Back-Office solutions. The individual will assist in gathering and documenting requirements, reviewing product designs, providing business feedback, and ensuring solutions align with operational objectives.
Duties
Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for Workforce Management and Back-Office technology initiatives.
Partner with Product Manager, Product Owners, Sr. Business Analysts, vendors, and internal stakeholders to refine requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Review product designs and proposed solutions and provide feedback to ensure alignment with business needs.
Maintain business requirements documentation, process flows, and product-related artifacts throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test planning, test case development, test execution, defect tracking, and validation of business requirements.
Coordinate testing efforts across business and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of product enhancements and new capabilities.
Facilitate defect triage discussions and work closely with vendors and technology teams to resolve issues identified during testing.
Support Agile and Waterfall project methodologies by participating in sprint ceremonies, requirements reviews, and project meetings.
Assist project progress and communicate risks, issues, and testing outcomes to stakeholders.
Support implementation, deployment, and post-launch validation activities to ensure successful adoption of new capabilities.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, product teams, and cross-functional business partners.
Review and prioritize defects impacting customers.
Assist in identifying risks early, escalate issues, and provide clear readiness status to support release decisions and CAB (Change Advisory Board) approvals.
Assist in prioritizing the roadmap with the product and technology team leads.
Qualifications
Technical Requirements:
Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Exposure to SDLC processes, including Agile methodologies. Experience with tools like JIRA, DevOps and Confluence.
SaaS (Software as a Service): Experience working with SaaS and third-party platforms including deployment, management, and integration of SaaS solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years in Business Analyst/Business Technical Analyst experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Visio.
Experience in the Quick Service Restaurant industry.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $93,208.00 - $116,510.00 per year
