Department Overview
The Supervisor Enterprise Cash Risk Management owns the enterprise cash risk program, including armored transportation and cash‑in‑transit operations, across McOpCo and Franchise systems. This role serves as the enterprise subject‑matter expert for cash logistics and is accountable for protecting restaurant teams, safeguarding cash assets, and reducing exposure to theft, cash loss, fraud, violence, and operational continuity.
The role provides enterprise leadership through program ownership, risk governance, and decision authority, working closely with Security, Operations, Finance, Treasury, Legal, Franchising, industry colleagues, banking and armored transportation partners. While the role has no direct reports, it carries significant enterprise accountability, financial risk exposure, and executive visibility.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Enterprise Cash Risk Program Ownership
- Own the enterprise cash risk management program, including armored transportation and cash‑in‑transit services.
- Build and maintain a multi‑year cash risk strategy aligned to people safety, financial controls, and business continuity.
- Define enterprise standards and recommended practices for cash handling, transportation, and banking interfaces across McOpCo and Franchise operations.
- Evaluate emerging threats, industry trends, and alternative cash handling models to reduce enterprise risk.
Vendor, Banking, and Treasury Governance
- Serve as the enterprise owner for armored transportation providers and cash logistics partners.
- Partner closely with Treasury, Accounting, and Finance on cash logistics processes, banking relationships, and risk enterprise controls.
- Lead vendor governance activities include business performance reviews, risk assessments, corrective action plans, and contract compliance of SLA’s.
- Support future RFPs, vendor selection, contract negotiations, renewals, and audits in partnership with VMO, McOpCo, Legal, Finance, and Treasury.
- Exercise authority to raise, remediate, or recommend suspension or replacement of vendors based on risk or performance.
Risk, Safety, and Incident Leadership
- Accountable for reducing risk to restaurant crew, managers, and service providers related to cash handling and transportation in partnership with US Security.
- Own cash‑in‑transit risk controls, chain‑of‑custody standards, routing guidance, and emergency response protocols.
- Serve as the final operational point of contact for cash-related incidents, losses, service failures, or safety events when a blocking issue arises.
- Lead root‑cause analysis and risk mitigation planning following incidents, including coordination with Security, Treasury, and insurers as needed.
Financial and Banking Oversight
- Own enterprise cash logistics cost strategy and cost‑optimization initiatives.
- Partner with Treasury to understand banking services, cash collection models, and bank fee structures impacting cash operations.
- Provide forecasting, variance analysis, and executive level reporting on cash risk, losses, and related spend.
- Balance cost efficiency with safety, loss prevention, and operational reliability.
Cross‑Functional Leadership and Influence
- Lead alignment across Security, Operations, Finance, Treasury, Legal, and Franchising through expertise and influence.
- Serve as the enterprise authority for cash risk and cash logistics critical issues, including franchise inquiries.
- Deliver executive level updates on cash risk posture, incidents, trends, and program performance.
- Provide mentorship and training to internal partners on cash risk standards, banking interfaces, and blocking issue protocols.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business, finance, supply chain, risk management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 plus years of experience in corporate security, cash logistics, enterprise risk management, armored transportation, banking operations, or physical security logistical programs.
- Demonstrated experience owning third‑party solution provider programs with enterprise or multi‑site scope.
- Strong knowledge of cash‑in‑transit operations, chain of custody, and physical security controls.
- Working knowledge of commercial banking and cash management services, including deposits, cash collections, reconciliation, and fraud controls.
- Experience partnering with Finance, Treasury, Operations, and Security teams on cash handling processes and risk management.
- Proven leadership and enterprise risk mitigation experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large, distributed retail or multi‑site portfolios.
- Experience overseeing regional or national cash logistics or cash‑in‑transit programs.
- Familiarity with banking fee structures, cash processing costs, and cost‑reduction opportunities.
- Experience supporting bank audits, internal audits, insurance reviews, or fraud investigations related to cash handling.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $78,281.00 - $97,852.00 per year.
