Responsibilities

We are charting the course for the future of Brand Partnerships and Alliances at McDonald’s to build long-term brand love, continuously elevate McDonald’s role in culture, and deliver business results.

The Supervisor, Global Brand Partnerships, will contribute to the acceleration of a global strategy to recruit and retain new customers and work closely with local marketing teams to support the development and implementation of Globally-led, locally-executed campaigns and activations connected to Global Partnerships. 

This individual is a voracious consumer of culture today and will bring passion and expertise across sport, entertainment, fashion, gaming, creators, and more. They are curious about new and emerging trends, channels, and subcultures and able to convert that curiosity into tangible executions to drive business and brand results.

This role will be accountable for:

  • Supporting the growth of the McDonald’s merchandising (goldenarchesunlimited.com) and licensing programs by identifying best-in class partnerships for McDonald’s, partnering with brands to develop must-have products and developing creative go-to-market approaches and processes to strengthen partner and local market execution
  • Partnering with creative design agency to develop best-in-class creative assets for use in brand building initiatives
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on partner and market merchandise submissions to elevate work and ensure speedy execution
  • Championing the Global Partnerships strategy – inspiring adoption, and mobilizing activations with marketing teams worldwide – by building and deploying best practices, communications and processes
  • Cultivating strong collaborative relationships with Global marketing teams, Alliance partners, agency partners, and local market teams.
  • Partnership management: manage and nurture relationships with external partners to deliver business results for key brand campaigns (ex. Happy Meal)
  • Contracting: Support partnership negotiations by partnering with legal to ensure timely reviews of contracts by all stakeholders
  • Reporting: Partner with agencies to provide timely reporting and insights on past and future programs
  • Assisting in the management of the Global Partnerships budget and invoice submission process
  • Inspiring and bringing forward innovative thinking and ideas, relevant best practices and consumer insights to help inform execution and the decision-making process.

 

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate is a cross functional contributor with passion and knowledge in the sport, entertainment, fashion, gaming, and lifestyle with experience managing complex projects ultimately delivering brand and business objectives.  

 More specifically:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience with a proven track record of successful project management to deliver business objectives. Individual who provides passion and/or expertise across sport, entertainment, film, music, fashion, gaming, and lifestyle. 
  • 3+ years of experience supporting high performing cross-functional teams, projects, and programs, either internally or with agency partners
  • Comfortable with complexity and working in the gray; able to think independently; proactive self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who enjoys mobilizing strategy, solving brand and business opportunities/challenges through creative Alliance-led solutions.
  • Excellent storyteller in written and verbal communications, including presentations, memos and live meetings.
  • Highly collaborative and capable of building strong relationships with their peers, leaders, and agency partners
  • Global mentality - working within and contributing to keeping global audiences, cultures, and passions front of mind
  • Deeply curious, asking questions and seeking out new perspectives to inform your work, and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Success working in a fast-paced environment and detail-oriented, with an ability to track and juggle multiple tasks and deadlines across projects.
  • Agency or agency management experience is a plus
  • Design and/or merchandise/licensing experience is a plus
  • Passion for McDonald’s, our fans, and our food

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $98,140.00 - $125,130.00 per year.
