Department Overview

The Global Restaurant Experience Team is responsible for elevating CX & EX through transforming a restaurant's physical space into a functional, visually appealing, and immersive environment that enhances the overall restaurant experience, making the McDonald's experience distinctively golden.

Collaborates with development leads for US, IOM, and IDL Segments & the Global Development team to identify and address opportunities to elevate the customer & employee experience, fueling the ability to accelerate new store development & grow restaurant sales.

Responsibilities

The position reports to the Global Restaurant Design Architecture & Design Innovation and will work with other team members to lead and support projects and initiatives that will serve our global markets. 

 

The Kitchen Designer will both support design and development and foster the growth and maintenance of thoughtful conditions-based kitchen design across our global system. In this role, your contributions will support both the future growth of McDonald’s and the restaurant teams who power that growth.

 

  • Kitchen design support of thoughtful, efficient solutions for new restaurant concepts and within existing restaurants
  • Explore and develop globally applicable kitchen facilities design solutions to improve customer and restaurant team experience and to holistically address business needs
  • Engage with stakeholders and collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to ensure design solutions have been aligned and validated with other functions (ex. Operations)
  • Support the development of kitchen design resources/tools/guidelines
  • Provide design consulting and support for internal prototyping and testing as well as site-specific guidance as requested by global markets

Qualifications

Key Proficiencies include:

  • Commercial kitchen facilities design experience
  • Sense of curiosity with genuine desire to learn and think with agility
  • Effectiveness collaborating with partners, working effectively and inclusively with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication skills. including the ability to clearly illustrate ideas through the most effective method (written, visual, verbal, or in combination)

 

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in related field required
  • Proven commercial kitchen facilities design experience (2 years minimum)
  • Strong AutoCAD skills, 3D modeling skills required
  • BIM/Revit experience a plus

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $87,050.00$108,810.00 per year
