Job Description

This position will reside within McDonald’s Global Supply Chain (GSC) under the Global Services organization. To further advance our strategic capabilities and efficiency, GSC has launched a Center of Excellence (COE) Sourcing team, which this position will support. This position will sit within the COE’s Sourcing Excellence team, which brings subject matter expertise to Supply Chain Sourcing activities and helps facilitate horizontal ways of working across our Global Strategic Sourcing Food (GSSF) and Global Strategic Sourcing Services (GSSS) sourcing teams, promoting perfection, consistency and optimization across all aspects of our globally handled category sourcing roles.

Responsibilities

As part of this role you will be encouraged to;

  • Supply to the evolution of Category Management standard methodologies, including the development of processes (Sourcing events (eg. Strategic Sourcing Reviews (SSRs), Supplier Performance, Category Strategy, Business Reviews, etc.), tools and templates, and the support of Digitalization efforts
  • Assimilate knowledge across our market SC teams and all GSSF and GSSS categories and collaborate across these diverse collaborator groups to identify sourcing challenges and opportunities and deliver against these opportunities.
  • Monitor, lead, promote tools, processes and templates once implemented.
  • Develop and lead training on relevant processes across multiple levels of management
  • Collect and Synthesize Commodity Benchmark Data
  • Participate in 3rd Party service provider relationship management activities, including regular supplier meetings, business reviews and performance issue escalations.
  • Provide contract reconciliation for select 3rd party service suppliers, to maintain complete, consistent and accurate data records.
  • Capture insights and staying informed of Supply Chain standard processes and infuse these insights into our processes and material when appropriate
  • Continue to help drive transparency of the team and processes within the overall GSC team.
  • Project management skills to plan, coordinate, and facilitate initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Possesses solid understanding of supply chain tools and standard processes, while also having willingness to learn new tools and applications and to establish understanding of how they can be applied within the business.
  • Ability to think critically and structure approach to identify and solve ambiguous and undefined problems where there is unlikely to be a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across multiple levels of management and business groups.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and oral methods with all levels.
  • Possess a strategic approach to focus attention on what matters most; balancing longer term strategic objectives with the needs to business today and prioritize accordingly.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting multiple categories and partners at one time.
  • Familiarity with iValua eSourcing modules, SmartSheet, Power BI and advanced Excel skills is an asset.
  • Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience required, preferred in Supply Chain, Business Management, or STEM.
  • 3+ years’ experience in supply chain or commensurate experience in related functions.

Salary Range

 

The expected salary range for this role is: $75,700 - $94,620
