Department Overview

The Global System Finance team is responsible for ensuring that Franchisees have access to capital to support McDonald’s strategic initiatives and mitigate supply chain financial risk impacts to restaurant-level profitability. The team works cross functionally across Finance, Supply Chain, Franchising, and Legal, while also having responsibility for external commercial relationships with banking partners. Within Global System Finance the Financial Risk Management team prioritizes operator financial health through the delivery of predictability and stability for food and paper costs. Partnering with the Treasury and Supply Chain teams, suppliers, and banking partners the Financial Risk Management Team has product category risk management ownership, including analyzing data that drives risk management decisions and providing visibility into business performance. This role will report to the Manager of Global System Finance – Financial Risk Management.

Duties

  • Contributing to the evolution of the risk management function including;
    - evaluating current processes and ways of working to ensure we are focusing on what matters most.
    - Identifying and maximizing capabilities of suppliers.
  • Monitor financial markets and the global macroeconomic environment to understand primary drivers of commodity markets.
  • Leverage existing supplier and banking relationships to generate and influence recommendations for risk management hedging decisions.
  • Manage recurring reporting processes and management presentations to drive visibility into business performance and resource planning decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field.
  • 3+ years of Finance, Treasury, or Banking related experience.
  • High level of curiosity with strong business acumen.
  • Strong interpersonal and people leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to influence decision making through excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts in an easily understandable way.
  • Strong project management capabilities to manage multiple project streams and complexity.
  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills with comfort and ability to develop clear, concise, and compelling executive-ready communications to various audience groups with limited guidance. 

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $85,014.00 - $106,267.00 per year
