HR Business Partner (80-100%)
We are looking for an HR professional to join our People Team and serve as a trusted partner to franchisees, restaurant leadership teams, and internal stakeholders across German-speaking Switzerland. In this key role, you will contribute to the implementation of McDonald’s HR strategy, drive People initiatives, and help deliver an outstanding employee experience throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted HR partner for franchisees, restaurant leadership teams, and Operations stakeholders, providing guidance on employee relations, talent development, performance management, compliance, and HR administration.
- Drive the implementation of McDonald’s HR strategy and key People initiatives across the restaurant organization.
- Analyze HR metrics and workforce trends to identify opportunities, support decision-making, and address organizational needs.
- Lead and contribute to local and national HR projects, ensuring effective execution, stakeholder alignment, and achievement of business objectives.
- Support the resolution of complex employee relations matters and promote a positive and compliant work environment.
- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and documentation remain up to date and aligned with legal and business requirements.
- Deliver training, share best practices, and contribute to the continuous development of people capabilities across the restaurant network.
What You Need to Be Successful
- University degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of significant experience in a similar HR Business Partner or HR Consultant, ideally in a multi-site and fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of Swiss labor law and HR best practices, combined with proven experience advising leaders, managing employee relations matters, and driving HR projects and initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, coaching, and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with a pragmatic, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Native German speaker with professional proficiency in English; French and/or Italian are strong assets.
- Willingness to travel regularly within Switzerland to support restaurants and business stakeholders.
