Collibra Platform Engineer: (Manager, Data Operations & Management)
We are seeking an experienced Collibra Platform Engineer (Manager, Data Operations and Management) to handle the design, implementation, and operation of the enterprise Collibra platform. The role requires strong hands-on Collibra expertise and stakeholder management, with responsibility for scalable platform solutions, cloud migrations, end-to-end integrations, asset operating-model enhancements, and reliable platform operations.

Primary Responsibilities
- Design, rationalize, and maintain the Collibra operating model, including communities, domains, asset types, relations, attributes, statuses, responsibilities, roles, and lifecycle states.
- Perform impact assessments across operating model, workflows, metadata ingestion, lineage, permissions, platform services, and integrations.
- Translate business and governance requirements into scalable technical designs, architecture diagrams, standards, and implementation roadmaps.
- Lead Collibra-related cloud migrations, including AWS-to-GCP or comparable cloud transitions, with clear scope, dependencies, environment strategy, and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate with Cloud, Network, IAM, Security, Architecture, and vendor teams for infrastructure readiness, connectivity, secrets, certificates, monitoring, and operational support.
- Lead metadata ingestion, source onboarding, business and technical lineage, metadata stitching, reconciliation, and integration troubleshooting.
- Define secure authentication and authorization patterns for service accounts, SSO/SAML, SCIM, IAM, secrets, and least-privilege access.
- Guide integrations with cloud data platforms, databases, data warehouses, enterprise applications, data quality platforms, and workflow or ticketing systems.
- Partner with data owners and stewards to improve glossary, catalog, data product, policy, reference data, and critical data asset governance.
- Review technical designs, code, configuration, deployment packages, test evidence, runbooks, and production-readiness artifacts.
- Monitor and report platform health, release impact, adoption, metadata quality, workflow performance, onboarding progress, risks, and governance outcomes.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant experience in data governance, metadata management, data catalog, enterprise architecture, data engineering, or platform engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Collibra, including architecture, implementation, configuration, integration, operating model, workflow, metadata ingestion, lineage, administration, and production support.
- Proven involvement in at least one major cloud migration or platform modernization initiative, from discovery and target design through validation, cutover, and stabilization.
- Proven experience designing and delivering end-to-end integrations between Collibra and enterprise sources or platforms.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Collibra Edge, Workflow Designer, BPMN, REST APIs, JSON, XML, SQL, and automation or scripting using Groovy, Java, and/or Python.
- Strong understanding of metadata structures, ingestion patterns, business and technical lineage, data catalogs, business glossaries, reference data, data products, stewardship, and governance controls.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform, including cloud connectivity, IAM, secrets, Kubernetes or containerized runtime concepts, and operational monitoring.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, decision-making, and executive presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or a related field.
Preferred/Certifications
- Collibra Ranger certification is strongly preferred.
- Additional Collibra certifications such as Solution Architect, Integration Engineer, Workflow Engineer/Developer, Data Steward, or Data Quality are advantageous.
- Experience with Collibra Data Quality, Data Privacy, Data Products, AI Governance, Data Marketplace, Policy Manager, Reference Data, or Control Tower capabilities.
- Experience integrating Collibra with platforms such as GCP, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Oracle, OneTrust, Erwin, ServiceNow, or Jira.
- Experience in Retail or Quick Service Restaurant environments and in supporting global data-governance operating models.
- Experience with release management, platform observability, RBAC, SSO/SAML, SCIM, vendor management, and audit or compliance controls.
