Specialist, Tax Operations

Department Overview

McDonald’s has an exciting opportunity for a Specialist, Tax Operations role based in India. You will provide support for the organization across global tax-related processes and activities to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.  This role will partner closely with our Enterprise and Market Finance Teams to deliver required tax information to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Duties

• Prepares, reviews, and submits local tax filings
• Monitors tax law changes and ensures processes, workpapers, and/or systems are appropriately updated appropriately
• Interacts with internal and external parties to gather necessary information.​
• Maintains organized and up-to-date documentation of tax filings, workpapers, and correspondence.​
• Supports US GAAP and Stat tax accounting related activities
• Supports review of corporate income tax returns and VAT/GST filings locally where relevant
• Supports GBS and Market Tax Lead in executing data requests for local tax authorities and external parties

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• General knowledge / understanding of direct, indirect, and transfer pricing tax compliance and reporting processes
• General knowledge / understanding of global and local regulations and requirements across European countries

• Excellent written nd verbal communication skills: able to present and convey tax information clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated experience in customer – focused approach with commitment to delivering high-quality service and support to stakeholders.

• Direct experience in managing a team and ability to provide coaching and guidance to execute work.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines managing multiple key business priorities.
