Department Overview
McDonald's Global Office is seeking a Supervisor, Transformation to support the execution of strategic insourcing and transition initiatives across EDAA functions. This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end transition lifecycle, including planning, knowledge transfer, readiness tracking, governance, and hypercare support as work is migrated from external partners into McDonald's global office in Hyderabad.
The successful candidate will serve as a transition lead for assigned workstreams, working closely with business leaders, vendors, hiring teams, and delivery stakeholders to ensure successful knowledge transfer, operational readiness, and seamless transition outcomes. This role requires strong project management capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across geographies.
Duties
Transition Planning & Execution
- Support and execute end-to-end transition engagements from initiation through stabilization.
- Develop transition plans, milestones, tollgates, timelines, dependencies, and readiness trackers.
- Partner with business and functional stakeholders to define transition scope, outcomes, and success criteria.
- Track transition progress and proactively escalate risks, issues, and dependencies.
Knowledge Transfer Leadership
- Lead KT planning and execution across multiple transition workstreams.
- Design and manage KT schedules, learning plans, documentation requirements, assessments, and sign-off processes.
- Ensure knowledge capture, process documentation, SOP readiness, and transition completion criteria are met.
- Monitor KT effectiveness and readiness metrics, identifying and addressing learning gaps.
Governance & Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate weekly transition governance meetings with functional leaders, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Drive action tracking, risk reviews, dependency management, and decision logs.
- Prepare executive-ready status reports, dashboards, and leadership updates.
- Build strong relationships with McDonald's stakeholders, vendor partners, and transition teams.
Readiness & Hypercare Support
- Coordinate hiring, onboarding, and training readiness activities to support insourcing programs.
- Ensure resources are prepared to successfully assume business responsibilities.
- Support hypercare planning and stabilization activities following migration.
- Track operational readiness and transition acceptance criteria.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve transition methodologies, templates, governance, and KT practices.
- Drive standardization and best practices across EDAA transition programs.
- Contribute to the evolution of transition frameworks as McDonald's continues expanding in Hyderabad.
Qualifications
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Management, Human Resources, or related discipline.
- 4-7 years of experience in transition management, project management, shared services, outsourcing, insourcing, or transformation programs.
- Successful execution of at least two end-to-end transitions, including planning, KT, migration, and stabilization.
- Strong experience managing complex Knowledge Transfer programs and readiness activities.
- Good understanding of transition phases such as planning, hiring, KT, process documentation, shadowing, reverse shadowing, go-live, and hypercare.
- Experience facilitating governance forums with senior stakeholders.
- Strong project management capabilities, including risk management, dependency tracking, reporting, and milestone management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma, or transition-related certifications are an advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in GBS, Shared Services, Captive Centers, Outsourcing, or Insourcing environments.
- Experience transitioning Analytics, Finance, HR, Technology, Data, or Corporate Functions.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting global stakeholders across multiple regions and time zones.
