Department Overview
The Manager, Tech Deployment role within the IOM Technology Market Engagement team has a unique opportunity to play a critical role ensuring the successful delivery of our markets’ roadmap commitments.
Using proven methodologies, this role is responsible for providing support in the coordination and delivery of projects and emerging priorities across IOM markets. Partnering with cross-functional teams to provide oversight while driving execution, minimizing risk and sharing timely / accurate reporting are key responsibilities within the position.
Duties
Primary Duties:
- Provides project and strategic support to IOM markets and cross-functional teams for Consumer, Restaurant, Company platform priorities and steady-state activities.
- Employs gold standard project management methods to create and maintain project timelines providing clear visibility to key milestones and stage gates.
- Sets and maintains project governance by facilitating stage gate reviews and communicating outcomes.
- Creates and executes necessary charters, templates, tools and associated artifacts that are best fit for purpose.
- Provides regular status updates for segment and global reporting cadences.
- Aligns stakeholders and team members by creating transparent, open lines of communication and a common understanding of project expectations.
- Proactively manages and drives open actions to timely completion.
- Documents, communicates and mitigates high-level risks, assumptions, and constraints using historical data and expert judgment to understand project limitations.
- Escalates risks in a timely manner and proactively employs problem-solving strategies to mitigate project challenges.
- Identifies, documents and shares opportunities for process improvement.

- Global project management experience or related field(s).
- Experience working in a complex global organisation across multiple business functions.
- Experience with enterprise-wide digital and restaurant technologies.
- Hands-on problem-solving skills with the ability to generate ideas and drive solutions.
- Takes a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to staying ahead of project needs, risks and issue resolution.
- Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to balance empathy and accountability – able to understand diverse stakeholder needs while consistently driving progress and delivering measurable results.
- Understanding of and experience with Agile and product centric ways of working.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple simultaneous projects / activities.
- Skilled in data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
- High proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Teams.
What team will I be part of?
- This role sits within the Global IOM Technology, LIOM Segment Technologies team and reports to the Director, LIOM Market Engagement.
- Global IOM Technology supports the International Operated Markets (IOM) segment comprised of the largest 16 markets outside the USA including: Australia & New Zealand, Canada, Germany & Luxembourg, France, UK & Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and IOM BU Markets: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic & Slovakia, Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland and Ukraine.
- The IOM Technology Team partners with our international markets to support their shared needs, adoption and deployment of global products and services. With shared expertise and best practice, we aim to support the growth, performance and experience of a better McDonald’s through technology.
