We have a unique opportunity for a Head of Business Insights who will take on ownership of our core analytics capability which is key contributor to the success of our vision.
This role will be responsible for developing and leading next generation analytics, data development and our insights strategy in partnership with our business teams, IT, global teams and third-party suppliers. The right person for this role will have extensive experience in the development of and implementation of insights at scale in a way manner that unlocks tangible customer and business value.

What can you expect on a day-to-day basis?
- Leading the development and execution of our business analytics roadmap that empowers the business with the right information
- Leading and motivating the team of date engineers, analysts and scientists, creating a data driven culture that encourages motivation, experimentation and measurable business impact
- Developing compelling business insights that drives action towards our Australian market strategy through opportunity identification & quantification
- Sophisticated collation of data from new and existing sources
- Ownership of core analytics capabilities, which may include Business Forecasting, Customer Insights (e.g. 3P market data, loyalty insights), Measurement (e.g. Test & Learn, Campaign Performance), Self-service platforms and tools (e.g. PowerBI)
- Managing evolving data & analytics needs for the business including data governance & tools and continuous improvement initiatives
- Partnering with IT and digital team to ensure effective data management and customer segmentation
- Representing market on global Business Insights Council and partnering with Global teams on initiatives to harmonise insights globally
Your keys to success:
You will be highly analytical and have exposure to a variety of analytical, data science and data engineering methodologies. Your ability to proactively identify opportunities and flex between long term strategic thinking and short-term support will help drive our overall business analytical capabilities and guide the business towards future growth. The successful candidate will also:
- Have prior experience in a fast-moving consumer environment essential (e.g. retail, FMCG or QSR)
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or equivalent practical experience
- Be a highly motivated strategic thinker who sees the big picture and can deliver commercial returns.
- Be a clear and concise communicator, able to simplify the complex and help all stakeholders understand important information.
- Have experience in business intelligence or analytics, analysing data through statistical, quantitative modelling/forecasting methods
- Have cross industry analytics experience with a track record in delivering tangible business results
- Have demonstrated experience in Agile and Product Centric delivery practices
- Have experience in working with large datasets and solving business issues to drive results
- Have experience with Cloud Platforms, particularly AWS Redshift Platform highly regarded
