At Macca’s we are on an exciting journey to re-imagine how insights are used within our business to support better decision making and create better experiences for our customers, team and licensees. We have a newly created opportunity for a Head of Data Enablement and Insights who will take on ownership of our core analytics capability which is key contributor to the success of our vision. 


This role will be responsible for leading a team responsible for transforming how our business leverages data to drive decision-making at scale. Reporting to the Senior Director – Strategy & Insights, you will establish and execute our data enablement strategy, working cross-functionally to ensure data services meet the evolving needs of the business while maintaining governance and quality standards.

What can you expect on a day-to-day basis? 

  • Developing Data Strategies: Aligning data initiatives with organizational goals and supporting broader business strategies through data insights.
  • Creating & Influencing Business Cases: Collaborating with IT and business leaders on technology roadmaps and showcasing ROI for data and technology investments.
  • Automating Processes & Enhancing Customer Insights: Developing advanced segmentation and modelling capabilities, driving automation of data workflows and pipelines
  • Ensuring Data Quality: Championing production-quality data principles and frameworks.
  • Building Data Models: Leading development of enterprise data models for analytics.
  • Integrating Advanced Tech: Leading integration of AI and analytics technologies.
  • Managing Relationships: Overseeing external market data provider relationships.
  • Owning Analytics: Managing core analytics capabilities like forecasting, customer insights, and self-service tools.
  • Promoting Data Use: Driving adoption of data insights and self-service capabilities.
  • Global Collaboration: Partnering with global teams on insight harmonization and representing the Market on the global Business Insights Council.

Your keys to success:

The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical expertise and business strategy, building systems and capabilities that democratize access to high-quality insights across the organization. The successful candidate will also:

 

  • Have demonstrated progressive experience in data and analytics at a leadership level with a proven track record of implementing solutions that drive business value at scale
  • Have prior experience in a fast-moving consumer environment essential (e.g. Retail, FMCG or QSR) with a track record in delivering tangible business results 
  • Be a motivated strategic thinker who can tie data and insights to the big picture to achieve the delivery of commercial returns
  • Have outstanding communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Be self-motivated and proactive, takes the initiative to pre-empt problems and provide recommendations, sometimes with incomplete information
  • Have prior experience working with market data providers (e.g. Nielsen, Circana, Banking Data) and managing third-party data vendor relationships
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or equivalent practical experience
