We have an exciting opportunity in the team for a National Network Planner to support in developing our ambitious growth strategy Australia-wide. What can you expect on a day-to-day basis?
- Developing and implementing a national real estate growth strategy and network plan document that supports the company's business goals and new restaurant targets.
- Conducting regular market analysis and research to identify potential new restaurant sites and evaluate their financial viability within the context of the greater network plan.
- Regularly reviewing the national network plan post opening of new sites and update trade zones and mini-markets where required to maximise traffic to the network of stores.
- Engaging key stakeholders such as Franchisees, McOpCo (Company owned) leadership, vendors, landlords, Senior Leadership Team and National Development Group (NDG)
- Conducting location planning studies in conjunction with approved consultants to identify trade areas, customer demographics, and competitive landscape.
- Validating new trade areas and update National Network Plan and mapping accordingly.
- Business and development performance reporting.
- Conducting portfolio reviews of landlords, vendors, and competitors to assess leasing opportunities, market positioning, and potential strategic partnerships.
- Managing and responding to general inquiries regarding new site opportunities, assessing initial feasibility and strategic fit within the broader network plan.
- Advising Development Managers and Senior Development Managers on top 5 sites in each Trade Zone as well as planning risks etc.
- Reviewing performance of existing restaurants and reconfiguring network as required.
- Managing relationships with key consultants to ensure the company's interests are protected and maintained.
- Preparing and presenting reports to the Board on evolution of the network plan including use of new analytics tools when available.
- Monitoring industry trends and developments to inform the company's real estate strategy and identify potential risks or opportunities.
Your keys to success:
- Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in real estate strategy, network planning, or a related field with deep understanding of local regulations and industry trends.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data and easily articulate the trends and solutions.
- Experience with planning software such as GapMaps, Nearmaps and Government Planning Portals.
- An excellent communicator who can influence and collaborate with others.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the quick-service restaurant industry is desirable but not essential.
