Are you passionate about transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions? McDonald’s is on an exciting journey to harness the power of data and analytics to shape the future of our business and customer experience. We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Business Insights Analyst to join our team. As part of McDonald’s, you’ll play a pivotal role in leveraging data to unlock new opportunities, drive innovation, and influence the direction of one of Australia’s most iconic brands. You’ll work alongside talented colleagues in a fast-paced environment, using your technical expertise and commercial acumen to deliver insights that matter.

What can you expect on a day-to-day basis?

  • Translating large and complex datasets into clear, actionable insights to inform business strategy
  • Drawing customer insights from transactional data to support marketing, supply chain, and operational decisions
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to embed data-led decision-making and influence outcomes
  • Designing and maintaining automated workflows and data pipelines for efficiency and scalability
  • Developing advanced SQL queries and Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
  • Building and maintaining dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio for self-service analytics
  • Delivering robust reporting and dashboards to monitor performance and identify opportunities
  • Exploring and applying AI-driven solutions to enhance analytics and business processes

Your keys to success:

  • Advanced SQL and strong Python skills; experience with large-scale data handling and automation
  • Proven experience building dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio
  • Experience extracting and interpreting insights from large transactional datasets
  • Ability to translate data into commercial insights and recommendations
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
  • A can-do attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to take on new challenges
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Background in Retail, FMCG, or QSR environments preferred
  • Bonus: Exposure to AI/ML tools and techniques
