Who you are
You are a CPA (CA/CMA/CGA) designated accountant with 2 years or more experience as a Senior Financial Analyst or Finance Manager. Your outstanding analytical skills are complimented by leadership skills and the ability to independently take projects to completion. As a catalyst, you look to initiate ideas and improvements across all levels of the organization and drive the right behaviors towards meeting our strategic objectives.
Duties
The person in this role will have the following major responsibilities:
- Support and Accelerate Business Growth
- Contribute to the development of long-term national and regional strategic plans.
- Provide value-added financial insights and recommendations to Finance and cross-functional business partners to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and decision-making.
- Continuously improve financial modeling processes, assumptions, and methodologies to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Build high-level and detailed financial models to evaluate scenarios, identify opportunities, and assess risks.
- Lead Finance-related projects and initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders with oversight from Controllers
- Risk Management
- Proactively monitor and assess Franchisees’ financial performance, including profitability, equity, and cash flow, and provide recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Monitor business and industry trends and translate insights into proactive guidance to minimize financial and operational risk.
- Governance
- Ensures that financial practices are sound and in accordance with accounting rules (GAAP, etc.) as well as company guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Maintains internal control procedures to safeguard corporate assets.
- Ensure stakeholders understand and uphold Financial policies and internal controls
- Improve financial acumen among non-finance stakeholders through formal finance presentations as well as informal coaching and discussions.
- Reporting and Insight
- Be a catalyst to leverage data within systems to identify non-compliance to Financial standards, drive efficiencies, and consolidate reports
- Review and enhance financial reports to ensure they are accurate, relevant, and aligned with stakeholder needs.
- Prepare forecasts and projections for restaurant and business unit performance and key financial statement accounts.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with a CPA designation is required.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Financial Analyst.
- Ability to independently complete finance projects, including decision-making and ownership of deliverables.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects through influence and collaboration, without direct people management.
- A catalyst who will initiate improvements in the business and drive the right behaviors towards meeting our department and corporate objectives
- Confidence to craft and communicate key messages as part of formal presentations to management and stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills for developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of the organization.
- A passion to learn with a focus on continuous improvement of skills and growth within our organization
- Ability to multi-task and balance conflicting priorities
- Excellent analytical skills including proficiency with various software analytic tools
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint technical skills and experience with larger ERP systems
Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is from $76,799 to $102,398.
