The Opportunity

How would you like to work for the #1 quick service restaurant operation in the world?!  We currently have a full-time opportunity as a Finance Consultant available in the Finance team. This position will report to the Sr. Manager, FP&A and work closely with the Finance Directors as well as key stakeholders.  We are looking for a professional that is motivated to learn, develop, and grow within our organization.

You are a CPA (CA/CMA/CGA) designated accountant with 2 years or more experience as a Senior Financial Analyst. Your outstanding analytical skills are complimented by leadership skills and the ability to independently take projects to completion.  As a catalyst, you look to initiate ideas and improvements across all levels of the organization and drive the right behaviors towards meeting our strategic objectives.

 

Duties

The person in this role will have the following major responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and analysis (technology related)
    • Support market financial statement sign-off, month-end reporting, market plan & projection inputs
    • Prepare accurate, timely financial analysis and reporting for senior management and for our U.S. parent.
    • Review reports for completeness, accuracy, consistency and comparability
    • Provide insightful commentary on monthly variances vs. projection and plan.
    • Work with department heads to understand the numbers and provide insights and opportunities
    • Analyze/reconcile select balance sheet accounts related to technology.

 Support and Accelerate Business Growth

    • Serve as a key strategic business partner to Technology stakeholders, providing financial insights that enable informed decision-making.
    • Strategic development of funding & cost recovery models for Technology programs
    • Support business cases for growth initiatives, restaurant investments required, and communication around costs increases and spend, demonstrating understanding of business and financial acumen.
  • Governance
    • Ensure stakeholders understand and uphold financial policies and internal controls
    • Improve financial acumen among non-finance stakeholders through formal finance presentations as well as informal coaching and discussions.   

  • Key stakeholders
    • Enterprise FP&A and FP&A COE
    • Functional leaders (technology) in the market
    • Ensure that financial practices are sound and in accordance with accounting rules (GAAP, etc.) as well as company guidelines, policies and procedures.
    • Improve financial acumen among non-finance stakeholders through formal finance presentations as well as informal coaching and discussions.

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with a CPA/CA/CMA/CGA designation is required.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience as a Senior Financial Analyst.
  • Ability to independently complete finance projects, including decision-making and ownership of deliverables.
  • A catalyst who will initiate improvements in the business and drive the right behaviors towards meeting our department and corporate objectives
  • Confidence to craft and communicate key messages as part of formal presentations to management and stakeholders.
  • Strong technical skills; MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word – knowledge of Oracle and SharePoint are an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • A passion to learn with a focus on continuous improvement of skills and growth within our organization
  • Ability to multi-task and balance conflicting priorities
  • Excellent analytical skills including proficiency with various software analytic tools
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint technical skills and experience with larger ERP systems

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $76,799 - $102,398 per year
