The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for an Operations Consultant supporting the McOpCo Ontario market.  The role will provide leadership, coaching, and direction to their assigned restaurants, to maximize the long-term sales and profit potential of each restaurant. Builds a positive business relationship with Restaurant Managers and Restaurant Leadership Team. Key customers include Restaurant Managers, Restaurant Leadership Assistant Team, Shift Management, Operations Manager and customers.

Duties

In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

People 
•    Demonstrates and reinforces the leadership behaviors and basic people minimums necessary to gain commitment from the Crew , Shift Managers and Restaurant Leadership Team.
•    Interviews, conducts OJE's, and trains restaurant managers based on profit center staffing needs and goals. 
•    Ensures that all assigned restaurants are adequately staffed to maximize sales potential and turnover among all restaurant employees is reduced.  
•    Knows, enforces, educates all restaurant employees, on all appropriate HR policies, labor laws, security and safety procedures.
•    Develops, trains, rewards and recognizes the results of all levels of restaurant employees.
•    Consults with the Restaurant Leadership Team on employee commitment measurement and assist with plan to increase employee’s loyalty, satisfaction and pride with the McDonald’s experience.  
•    Completes and presents performance appraisals based on defined goals and objectives for each McOpCo Restaurant Manager. Ensures performance reviews are completed on all restaurant employees in a timely basis. Ensures that individual development plans are implemented, and diversity staffing objectives are met.

QSC/Sales Building 
•    Protects the McDonalds brand by ensuring that restaurants meet McDonald's QSC, safety and sanitation standards.
•    Teaches restaurant managers and restaurant leadership teams critical restaurant systems that produce consistently high levels of QSC.
•    Ensures that restaurants properly execute national and co-op promotions. 
•    Ensures that there is an on-going local (my store) marketing plan for each restaurant.
•    Coordinates implementation and execution of new products and processes consistently within their restaurants.

Business Results 
•    Consults and is accountable for creating a positive work environment while working shoulder-to-shoulder with restaurant managers and restaurant leadership team to create and accomplish business and profit plan objectives.
•    Uses all informational resources available such as PMO, Gap Analysis, and Customer Satisfaction Measurement etc., to identify opportunities and threats to build a business plan to optimize market potential.
•    Completes various audits to ensure that their restaurants meet McDonald's standard practices and procedures regarding cash, security, etc.
•    Supervise the implementation of reinvestment plans on an annual basis to include opening new restaurants, re-builds, re-models, equipment purchases, etc. 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

•    Must reside in Ontario.
•    3+ years of McDonald's restaurant (or other QSR) operations experience demonstrating an expert knowledge of operations procedures and key restaurant performance metrics. 
•    Refined consultative approach that engages stakeholders in a collaborative manner.  Very strong customer focus with keen attention to detail and ability to translate requirements into action. Ability to present, influence and communicate information based on target audience.
•    Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to frame projects, create solutions and drive cross-functional efforts to successful completion on budget and schedule.
•    Self-starter who is capable of multi-tasking along with the ability to navigate through an ambiguous, ever-changing environment.
