Ronald McDonald House Canada is seeking a Manager, RMHC Corporate Partnerships to grow mission‑driven, long‑term corporate partnerships that help strengthen families and promote healing when children need healthcare. This role plays a pivotal part in mobilizing the McDonald’s supplier community behind a purpose that directly supports families with seriously ill and injured children.

As a senior member of Ronald McDonald House Canada National Partnerships and Philanthropy Team, the Partnerships Development Lead stewards a $2M+ portfolio and builds a strategic pipeline designed to grow it to $4M+ over the next three years. The role also manages one direct report responsible for corporate donor growth and national gift‑in‑kind partnerships, forming a combined portfolio geared toward innovation and long‑term expansion.

 

This role plays a unique and influential leadership role within the McDonald’s Canada ecosystem, stewarding one of Ronald McDonald House Canada’s most essential communities of supporters. The successful candidate will guide relationship strategies, elevate supplier engagement through system‑wide events and touchpoints, and ensure Ronald McDonald House Canada impact is communicated seamlessly across McDonald’s Canada’s supplier- and vendor‑facing teams.

 

Working closely with 11 Ronald McDonald House Regional Chapters, this leader balances strategic foresight with hands‑on relationship management to drive revenue growth, elevate partner engagement, and deliver a cohesive national donor experience across Ronald McDonald House Canada’s federated network.

Duties

In addition to following McDonald’s Canada’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Strategic Portfolio Management & Revenue Growth:

  • Contribute as a senior member of the National Partnerships & Philanthropy team, helping shape Ronald McDonald House Canada’s national partnerships strategy.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of national corporate partners contributing over $2M annually.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective partners; identify, qualify, and cultivate opportunities for national engagement and investment.
  • Analyze partnership performance and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop tailored proposals and engagement plans aligned with partner goals and Ronald McDonald House Canada’s mission.
  • Lead, coach, and support one direct report overseeing national gift‑in‑kind partnerships and corporate donor development.

Donor Stewardship & Engagement

  • Design and implement meaningful donor journeys that deepen engagement and demonstrate impact.
  • Lead national stewardship initiatives, including recognition, impact reporting, and partner communications.
  • Guide stewardship efforts across Ronald McDonald House Canada’s federated network to ensure a consistent national donor experience.
  • Support planning and execution of Ronald McDonald House Canada’s national fundraising events (e.g., The Great Games Challenge).
  • Engage the McDonald’s Canada supplier community through system‑wide events (e.g., North American Supplier Townhall, Annual Summit).
  • Represent Ronald McDonald House Canada at partner meetings, industry events, and public forums.

Cross Functional Collaboration & Program Innovation

  • Work with internal teams (e.g., Integrated Brand, Programs, Strategy & Insights) to engage partners in mission‑aligned programs, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with McDonald’s Canada teams to integrate supplier and vendor giving stories into their communications and business touchpoints.
  • Support development of cause marketing, employee engagement, and sponsorship opportunities that strengthen partner involvement and revenue.
  • Provide strategic guidance on partnership trends, program alignment, and opportunities to enhance mutual value.

Measurement & Reporting

  • Track and report on partnership performance, pipeline progress, and revenue outcomes.
  • Use data and insights to continuously improve partnership strategies and donor experiences.
  • Adhere to ethical fundraising standards (AFP, Imagine Canada) and Ronald McDonald House Canada policies, including the Prospect Clearance Process.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFRE) are considered assets.

Experience: 5–10 years of progressive experience in fundraising, development, or corporate partnerships, ideally within the nonprofit or social impact sector. Experience working within a federated or multi-stakeholder model is an asset.

Strategic Fundraising Expertise: Deep understanding of the Canadian philanthropic landscape, with a focus on corporate giving, cause marketing, and mission-driven partnerships. Proven success in securing and growing revenue through strategic donor engagement.

Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build and nurture long-term relationships with corporate donors and stakeholders. Skilled in developing customized stewardship plans and donor journeys that drive retention and impact.

Communication & Storytelling: Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to translate RMHC’s mission into compelling partnership opportunities. Experience collaborating with marketing teams to develop donor-facing materials and campaigns.

Leadership & Collaboration: A self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment. Able to influence and inspire internal and external stakeholders through connection, alignment, and shared purpose.

Mission Alignment: Deep commitment to Ronald McDonald House Canada’s mission, with a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of families with seriously ill and injured children.

Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using fundraising CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual collaboration tools. Skilled in data tracking, reporting, and donor analytics.

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $89,599 - $127,998 per year.
