The Opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for a Marketing Specialist, to join our team at the Toronto Corporate Office, working in a hybrid environment. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment filled with non-stop action, then this role is for you!

Duties
In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Primary responsibility is to assist the National Marketing Manager in developing and executing projects to support our Chicken, Desserts & Value portfolios. We have a passion for serving great-tasting Chicken and Desserts, as well as providing reliable, affordable options for our guests across the menu. We are looking for:

- To support the portfolios includes responsibilities such as:
- Supporting the development of communication briefs and cross-functional briefing presentations, and providing strategic feedback on advertising campaigns (merch, mass, delivery, digital, social, owned assets & media plans)
- Responsible for internal review and approval of marketing campaigns, to ensure they adhere to brand standards & legal regulations, and developing communication for the field to ensure proper understanding of marketing promotions and flawless execution
- Liaison with cross-functional teams, developing strong relationships to lead, persuade and listen to support the execution of marketing campaigns and launches, facilitating and influencing the cross-functional team and managing the collaborative process (Ops, Deployment, Restaurant Execution & Comms, Supply Chain, Legal, Menu, Owned Channels – CRM/Retail)
- Work with Consumer and Business Insights teams to understand category opportunities, consumer needs, and identify opportunities to drive sales and visits
- Support of admin duties: billing, file management, internal communications, research, organizing project background information.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 2-3 years of marketing experience in consumer retail or service marketing. Category management experience is an asset.
- Digitally savvy with understanding in how to reach consumers in a world where we need to earn attention
- Creative thinker that is customer focused
- Education: Degree in Marketing preferred.
- Collaboration and communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to act as a liaison, work efficiently, listen effectively, and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Self-starter: Takes initiative to work independently on day-to-day priorities and planning for future needs with a solution-oriented mindset. Ability to think ahead and anticipate issues, creative problem solver, and critical thinker.
- Agility: Must have good organizational skills, be detailed-oriented, and can prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Thrives in a highly fast-paced environment.
- Technical skills: Proven Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
